We had a lovely 2 night stay here. The stable is in a quiet location, meaning you get a good nights sleep. The l-shaped sofa is a great place to chill and the bed was really comfy. There is a lovely patio area with nice rattan furniture that will be just perfect to use when the weather is decent. The kitchen area has everything you need to make small meals/breakfast. The bathroom, whilst a little dated, is fine; although a rail by the sink would be a good idea as there is nowhere to hang your hand towel. I also liked the fact there were bowls, treats and even poo bags for your four legged friend if he/she is joining you. We only have a small car and so could actually get it parked at the stable rather than having to go back to the village green after we’d unloaded which was an unexpected bonus. Reading the guest info book it seems there was a hot tub there at one point which has now been removed.

FYI - The bedroom is tiny with very little space to move around. The bed is pushed up against the wall, which is a bit awkward for the person on that side getting in/out. Given the limited space, although there are 3 hooks on the wall there are no hangers for clothes. The drawers are under the slope of the roof so you need to bend down a scoot a bit to get to them and they are tiny. It wasn’t so much an issue for us as we’re walkers so didn’t have any ‘posh’ clothes but if you’re planning a longer stay, be warned.

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL place to stay in such a lovely part of the country. The rooms were all so nice with a brilliant selection of breakfast foods and drinks provided in your room. Kim and Richard are most friendly and welcoming hosts i have ever met and such lovely people who go above and beyond to make sure you're stay is the best it can possibly be. 10/10! Would highly recommend if you wanted a lovely break away and is such great value for money!!!

The two girls who booked us in and served our evening meal, Lucy and Amanda, were exceptionally pleasant and efficient. We were thrilled with our room but thought we had no hot water from the shower until my husband discovered that hot water came out of the cold tap!

The bed was a little hard for my taste (though a great size)

A really tranquil place to stay, very quiet but close to a small village centre within easy reach. The house itself was exceptional as was the breakfast. The host is a fantastic lady with lots of local knowledge and is very friendly.

It's quiet and comfortable, not too much to do there, but we had a nice family weekend away. The jacuzzi is not that intense, so don't expect too much, but still, it was nice to be in it. Recommend it 👌

A good price and location well away from the rather downmarket parade area. Friendly and effective staff. Comfortable and clean room with decent facilities. Good breakfast with very pleasant view.

The hotel is a little tired, especially in the bar, and a little dark and gloomy going through to the rooms. They were redecorating when I was there so hopefully things will improve. Not a major concern though.

Breakfast room dirty. Tables dirty. Dead flies all around on surfaces. Cutlery was filthy. Staff morose. Breakfast orders were wrong each time. Don't let the shabby and sad looking exterior fool you, it's much worse inside.
