The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

Loved the location! Price was very reasonable especially after considering the price we paid for our hotel in London. Easy walking distance to all the important sites in central Liverpool. Only a couple of streets over from Bond St strip of pubs and restaurants and very close to the Pier and bus services including to John Lennon airport. The Matthew St where the Cavern and other Beatles sites are is also easy walking distance. And, I loved the history of the hotel being the home of “Dirty Maggie Mae”, the subject of the Beatles ditty on the White Album. Just added some additional character to our Beatles pilgrimage to Liverpool. Lastly, the staff at the hotel were outstanding! Thanks to them all!

The property is a bit old and in need of a bit of repair and maintenance. We had to switch rooms because the roof leaked in our 3rd floor room during a rainstorm. And the shower enclosure in our first room had no door or curtain on it. Our second room was better but still had some issues with water seeping out from the shower enclosure.

Host was very accommodating to our changing schedule/delays and was willing to change our check in time multiple times. The property was very spacious, and the key pick up/drop off processes were well communicated.

Quiet resort, tennis court next to our room, close to the sea. Very basic, you get what you pay for and a good base camp.

The shower was just a trickle of water.

Where do I start? The bedrooms were run down, parts were held together by duck tape. There was a welcome mat (that was filthy) outside the bathroom door.. which wouldn’t even shut. The ‘balcony’ had lose floorboards all over it - no attempt at fixing and I even tripped over them. The carpets were stained in so many places I dread to think what it was. The decor was something from the 1980’s. The breakfast was terrible, cold undercooked and tbh completely inedible. The apple juice had some sort of oily topping to eat. Had to eat elsewhere. Members of staff were just sat on their phones behind reception begging complete ignorance to how terrible everything was. I will NEVER return.

It was full of ants (the cleaner was very nice and she came every 2 days to solve a little bit the situation).
