Beautiful cottage, very spacious and lots of amenities. Even though it says ‘one bedroom apartment’ on the booking, I think you get the entire guest house to yourself. The bed was very comfortable and we arrived with folded towel swans on top of it. The bathroom had everything you needed in it including an emergency sanitary bag. The living room was very spacious and a great layout. The garden and landscaping is stunning, so picturesque! Our stay overall was very homely and cosy. One feature that stood out was the binder; it had lots and lots of information about the surrounding area and was extremely helpful for us to plan our days. We also loved using the tennis courts! It’s evident that a lot of effort has been put into this property to give the guests a very enjoyable experience and I have already recommended it to others.

There was a big selection of classic films on DVD but unfortunately we couldn’t get the DVD player to work. The cooking facilities were minimal but to be expected. We still managed to cook some great food and had all of the utensils we needed anyway.

Very comfortable lovely cottage in the heart of Penrith, well-equipped kitchen with lovely touches (milk, tea, etc) ready to go, Ullswater just 15 mins drive, super!

The systems broke down so we couldn’t check in until 8pm but they dealt with it well. They are also very difficult to contact by phone which is very frustrating.
