The location was perfect for our little stop-off on the way to London. We wanted to visit Charlecote NT, which is just across the road. We had what looked like a little house with a front door, stairs leading up and then a bedroom with an en suite off the landing. It was roomy and bright. The decor was old-fashioned/country house style, which was in keeping with the building, but it needed a statement headboard, gold chandelier, plain curtains, and new carpet to make it a wow-factor room. It could be done easily. The bathroom had some cracked tiles, but it was clean and functional.

A bad smell came from the drains outside the courtyard and up from the sink. We just kept the plug in. The settee bed needed replacing; it was old and dirty-looking. The stairs and bedroom carpet needed a clean. It had what looked like sheep/dog poo walked all around the bed. We kept our shoes on, which was a shame because we didn't feel at home. For the price, breakfast should have been included.

A man in his 20s fast asleep in the front foyer at 10am in the morning. Not a great feeling as you walk into the hotel. Because of the low prices of the hotel rooms there was a lot of young families there letting their kids run riot all over the place

Very noisy, you can easily hear what's happening in the room next door (loud neighbours until 3am, on a Monday). Dirty underwear on the floor from previous guest. No hot water in the morning >> cold shower. Poor communication with owner, this place looks like it is designed to be a cash cow rather than providing proper accommodation for visitors. EDIT >> Having read various reviews in retrospect: it seems that this accommodation is getting good grades for location mostly, but a lot of people complain about how noisy (apartment + street) and dirty (bed, floor, bathroom, kitchen, etc) it is, and other people mentioned lack of hot water too. Strongly advised to look further
