Everything was absolutely perfect....... even the weather! The situation of this lovely property, for walking into Fort William or getting to the base of Ben Nevis ready for walking, couldn't have been better. The accommodation has every home from home comfort you require after a hard day's walk! My daughter had the upstairs bedroom, and I took the pull out sofa bed. It was very comfortable indeed.

The service provided by the hosts were exceptional. Friendly, caring and very helpful. Super clean and neat. Modern bathroom with all the facilities we needed. Heating, hot water and mini bar fridge were available which made our stay very comfortable. Breakfast provided was excellent. We have no hesitation in recommending Millbrae Lodge to anyone.

Second time staying at the Glengower and I loved it just as much as the first time. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The atmosphere is what makes this place my favourite hotel to stay in when visiting Aberystwyth.

Accommodation very dated decor tired and in need of a good clean, approach to rooms up metal staircase like a fire escape , cigarette butts everywhere, on stairs , in courtyard and around property . Chef smoking outside before serving breakfast.

Big rooms in a lovely old building

Decor and cleanliness. It is due a refurb apparently but I wished that I had been told when I checked in. There were old curtains stacked up in a corner of a corridor, above ground floor all the corridors were in very poor state of decor. The bedroom was really big but all the furniture was damaged in one way or another or missing bits, the armchair had a spring making contact with the top of the upholstery, the decorative bed cushions were stained, the doors were grubby, there was a cobweb on one window and peeling paint all over the bathroom window, there was mold on the bathroom ceiling above the shower and the shower head was barely attached to the wall making it a gamble as to whether it would come detached mid-shower. The staff were informed and one lovely staff member informed me that the new owners were refurbing the whole property so I'm sure that it will be better in due course. In it's current state, it really wasn't worth the money and it would have been helpful if the reception staff had explained what was going on in order to manage my expectations.
