  The breakfast was lovely. I really appreciated the yogurt without sugar and the fresh fruit. The room was adorably decorated and it was fabulous to have an on suite bathroom for such an affordable price.

  When I asked staff about a problem I had, he was very polite.

  Not being informed bdfore stay about building work taking place. Booking a 2x double bed room and being given a 1x double bed. I saw staff about this and was then given another room where they separated the double into 2 singles , a solution but not what I had ordered and paid for. In the new room the fridge did not work.

  Check in. The well nourished blonde lady was on the phone in deep conversation when I arrived, I stood to one side to afford her privacy expecting her to acknowledge my presence and say something like “take a seat please and I’ll be with you in a moment “ but no she continued to ignore me and continue her phone conversation. After several minutes, due to being disabled awaiting hip replacement surgery, I took a seat nearby but in a position in front of her hoping to catch her eye as I wasn’t 100% sure I was at the correct entrance. After several more minutes I was beginning to wonder if she was visually impaired and couldn’t actually see me but she soon confirmed that wasn’t the case as she moved a plant on the counter top about a metre in distance so it was in front of her and positioned it so I was unable to have direct eye contact with her. Eventually, after about 15 minutes in total, another member of staff arrived and she immediately greeted me with a pleasant smile and booked me in. In addition, as a retired police officer, I was deeply concerned at the booking in procedure where guests have to use their app, take a live selfie and download either their passport or both sides of their driving licence. Alarm bells were ringing in my head that I was unsure how safe the data is and at risk of identity theft.
