Convenient location not far from the A9. Good view down over the Cromarty Firth (though couldn't enjoy it - see below). Many helpful cooking tools are provided, good crockery, strong wifi signal (as you can't get more than 3 metres from the router).

I'm afraid this property (the smaller of the two 'lodges') is not fit to be rented out, and certainly not at the ridiculous price of £110. It is tiny. The bathroom design is insane - you literally have to stand in the shower basin (which wasn't dry when I was there) to use the toilet (see pic). And the toilet lid won't stay up, whatever you do, so it WILL slowly fall down; God help you if you're standing to urinate. The little balcony outside has a good view but it is literally 6 metres from a small but busy road, with every driver and passenger staring at you as well as the noise of the cars, the stagnant filthy pool (is it a paddling pool?) and the rampant weeds, AND the cheap flimsy grubby plastic chairs and dirty table. Several fittings were broken, shoddy or dirty. The TV hangs loose on its mounting, and isn't pointing anywhere near the seating area, and someone's shoved a rough block of wood behind it to hold it at a (slightly) better angle, but not bothered to attach it, so the wood falls out if you try to adjust it. Wifi router propped loose against the window. Microwave door scrapes against wooden surround every time you open it. Four of the five coat-hooks broken. There is a shameful neglect about the place. The information provided was inaccurate; the hosts responded quickly to my first query but didn't respond to my second.

Very well appointed rooms; great location in the city centre but quiet at night because it's tucked away in its own courtyard. Friendly staff. Nice touch with the glass of wine on arrival.
