The hotel is in a really great location. We booked it to be close to the Harry Potter Studios which is a mere 15min drive away! It's also located right next to a lovely canal and pub/restaurants so plenty to do and some supermarkets/shops closeby. Staff were all friendly and helpful, breakfast was good value for money, rooms were clean. I especially liked that it was dog friendly and that they could provide essentials like nail files and shampoo if you forget or run out. There was an iron and kettle in the room. Plenty of parking too.

Free Wifi doesn't provide the security level, having even a simple password is much better. One of 2 lifts was out of order for 4 nights - waiting time was too long.

Breakfast was excellent and the staff were so courteous and engaging. All the staff were inc the bar staff etc. Our rom was bright and airy.

The bar prices were somewhat steep to say the least. The complementary bathroom shampoo etc were appreciated although Im disappointed that you are using so much plastic rather than one big container of each attached to the wall as per other hotels we have visited.

Lovely rooms, had a choice of a balcony or bath on arrival which was nice. Beds comfy.

Snack bar provided in rooms but have to pay. Don't provide them in each room if you expect them to be paid for. Bar was very expensive for drinks

When we went to our room, which cost us £124, there was no running water in the sink. They hotel was full so they had no other room to move us to, we were staying overnight en route to Cornwall and even this was booked months ago the room was not the best, at least the toilet worked, the only solution the hotel could provide was for us to book into another hotel at a much higher cost, after discussion we decided we had little choice but to stay there and put up with it initially they offered us £10 "discount for the inconvenience, I refused so they offered £20, asked them to reduce the cost to £100 and they refused, so we had little choice but to stay they gave us two 500ml bottles of water !!

Small dark room with only a double bed , was put in a disabled room, the bath so small with grab rails that was very constricting. Asked for a different room on a lower floor but none available at the time,
