Location is excellent in the centre of the village and catches the evening sun. The hosts were friendly and helpful, locking my bike away, and the single room provided everything needed. The evening meal in the bar was very good and a choice of breakfast options was available.

The property was in a quiet cul-de-sac so we were happy parking our motorcycle on the front drive. It was comfortable & fairly well equipped. It was useful to have a washing machine & airer as we were on a long trip.

The property was a bit grubby and in need of a good clean. There was no WiFi (apparently the router was broken & had been removed for repair). The rear door was extremely difficult to lock. A few kitchen basics eg oil & salt/pepper would be useful.

Very spacious apartment on the first floor with bedroom, living room, bathroom and well-equipped kitchen. Good location within easy walking distance of the city centre, and parking available on the street outside.

We would be happy to stay there again, although we were disappointed with the overall cleanliness (including a dirty dish in the oven), the lack of bath towels (only hand towels), and no soap or toilet paper in the bathroom.

The staff were all personable and helpful. The location was handy, just a short stroll to the centre. The outside garden was nice for drinks and eating.

We had two rooms, both small but perhaps not unusual for an old pub/hotel. However, the shower/bath in one room was not ideal. The shower was positioned about one metre above the bath and therefore a stand-up shower was impossible. The bath was also impossibly small for an adult male. Our brother had to kneel in the bath and use the shower nozzle to spray himself. Whilst we found it funny, it was not great and he tolerated it because it was only for one night.

The property sadly was not as advertised. The roof top was completely unusable. All the furniture was dirty, the bbq was completely unusable (filthy dirty and rusty). Sadly the umbrella was broken, which looking back at others reviews it been broken a while so we were unable to sit on the rooftop as it was so sunny. The stairs leading to the roof top are very steep with no hand rail. So be aware if you are less mobile you will struggle. The stairs were also not clean and lots of empty boxes/rubbish left there. Mould on the inside door/roof of the staircase. As mentioned by others there was a stain on the sofa which hadn’t been cleaned. The actually sofa bed mattress also had stains on it. No table inside so if you are looking to self cater this is a bit tricky as you need to eat in your lap. We contacted St Andrews short stay whilst there and someone was sent out. Maintenance guy was nice and helpful but sadly unable to do anything about the umbrella or mess in the roof top. Needed up having to be refunded a nights stay.

Host repeated herself and made sure we hear her staying up late waiting for our arrival so that we wont ring the bell of the main house to disturb her other guests. We arrived later than expected as we were informed that if will be self checked in and the key was placed safely. Two packs of smelly overdue meat were in the fridge upon arrival. We can tell the flat wasnt cleaned properly. Lots of crumbles on the counter near the toaster. No sponage nor soap for dish washing. No heating during the night apart from a electric heating board (the surface was dirty too) in the hallway as host set a heating timer for the whole house. I am not good with the cold but even my British found it cold. Hair was found on beds. Soundproof doesnt exist at all. We heard everything from upstairs and there was a locked door to the hallway of the mainhouse from the flat so it depends on how considerate other guests in house are but during our stay we were woken up very early.

The first room I was allocated was tired, old fashioned and not the same spec as the room they finally let me move to. The second room was the standard expected.
