- “Baan Thai House is a really beautiful hotel set in really lovely grounds. We booked 2 rooms which were both absolutely lovely and one of the rooms had the bonus of an outdoor shower. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. We really loved the pool area which was well maintained with plenty of sun beds and a beautiful setting by the river. The staff were wonderful; extremely friendly and very helpful. We booked a sunset river tour through the hotel which was excellent and were dropped off at the night market for food. They also arranged a transfer back to Bangkok too. The hotel is a short tuk tuk or taxi ride to the main sights and we liked the fact it was tucked away in a lovely quiet area surrounded by well maintained gardens and a lovely lake. Would definitely stay here again!”

  Lovely little chalet, well designed and furnished to suit a family, situated in a relaxed holiday park, right by a stunning beach. I loved the comfort of having two bedrooms and a set of twin beds, no sleeping on the couch or kids sharing a bed! The beds/bedding was comfortable, warm. The living area is very convenient and the host ensures that whatever you could need is there, spare umbrellas, board games, cooking basics… it doesn’t feel like a anonymous rental but very quickly like a home! The area is secluded and Amanda even had kept bread eggs and milk for our breakfast! Lovely walks around, perfect beach for the kids, and close enough to be a base and drive out and visit the area.

  Nothing! As with most U.K. houses there are no blinds just light curtains and we are not used to sleeping in bright morning light. Few food options, do plan groceries or call to book dinner at Jacks which looks amazing but again like anywhere nice in the U.K. you need to book ahead!

  The staff were fantastic, very helpful, sociable and knowledgable as we needed to sort out taxis and public transport whilst we were there. Really excellent customer care. Really quiet at night even with a wedding party staying. The breakfast was great and lots of options, plenty of space in the kids room for 3 beds. I liked the style of the hotel and the fact that it had rooms that were accessible for disabled or prams

  Our double room was a tad on the small size for my liking, the air conditioning was tricky to figure out and the back stairs wall rather needed some repair work, but it was a large oldish building.

  the room was up many stairs with no lift. The location to the centre of town was good, especially the museum with the Roman artifacts.. The hotel was next to the local theatre to access evening entertainment., the room was large , comfortable with a great walkin shower.. Staff were extremely helpful.

  there was only 1 issue in that we had to lug our suitcases up several flights. Was super otherwise

  Nice bijou flat in a very quiet place. Sarah very friendly and went through everything giving keys and local info. Superb bedding and slept so well. Super relaxing after long treckings all day! Lovely place! Made my holiday!

  Very nicely fitted and furnished. A great larder provided that included bread, ground coffee, milk, tea, condiments etc. Grade 2 listed building. Free parking but not completely clear how it worked.

  No curtains or blinds on any windows so woken at sunrise. Suite at FF level accessed via lift or stairs but long walk to unit. Bedroom at Second floor via steep, narrow steps which merged together as identical - not ideal for elderly people Long walk from nearest parking and had to wheel cases over large cobbles. Lift broken down on departure so had to carry cases down stairs etc. Not suitable to elderly.
