Staff were amazing, they couldn't have done any more for us. Breakfast menu choices and breakfast food were fabulous. We prebooked evening meals as the restaurant does get busy, really good choice and food and great service by the staff. Lovely rooms, we had a king room and our daughter and grandson had a family room that was perfect for them, lots of space. Short walk to the local convenience store and to the local village shops, plus a slightly longer walk to the seafront and the RNLI lifeboat station.

I can't think of anything really - maybe if I had to say something it would be that we had to wait a little while for the breakfast to be cooked but they were really busy and the staff managed so well for the number of staff there.

We loved it that absolutely everything we needed was supplied. There was a very well equipped kitchen, some welcome treats, pantry basics and good quality appliances. It was very quiet with lovely countryside surroundings. Although the bathroom was small (and this was clearly shown in the photos), it had everything we needed in it. Last but not least, the host made us feel very welcome and we would have felt very comfortable about asking for anything we needed.

Friendly staff at check-in. Breakfast was decent and the bed incredibly comfortable! Big lobby area to chillout or do some work, as well as a bar.

Room was a bit small and underground so no window to look out on. Also the nearest underground station Old Street only has the Northern Line, so you can rarely go directly to wherever you wish to go. The hotel is also not really located near any major attraction. If you're okay to travel a bit more, then that shouldn't be an issue. But if you're with kids, factor in you might be spending longer on the underground.

We were placed upstairs in the highest room, almost under an eave, loads of stairs to go up and down before hit the main staircase, with a lot of luggage which we had, was most impractical. They were great in assisting us with all our luggage. Room very tight, smallish room too and bathroom under the eaves, no room to swing a cat and it was pricey not cheap. Other downside was the dinner menu, didn't have prices on it of what you were choosing, so we asked a waiter to explain, which he couldn't so had to call a chef who lived close by, to come and explain to us why he had presented the menu the way he had. No where else had a menu with prices on it been presented the way he had done it.

Whoever first arrived to assess the situation had some level of customer service skills but that's about it.

Arrived late after travelling all day. Took a shower. Felt a deep scratch in my heel which turned out to be a large crack in the shower tray. Sent a message via What's App to advise of situation. Was leaving to pop out for a while about 5 minutes after getting out the shower and as walking down the stairs then saw water dripping through the ceiling on the landing below. And then the landing below that. As I was taking videos of the situation, someone from the management came up the stairs with a bucket in his hand and then started wiping the water drips with towels. He said that someone would contact me regarding the situation. About 40 minutes later, I received a What's App to advise me that the shower situation was so bad that they couldn't accommodate me and therfore cancelling my booking and refunding me. At 1AM!! Where was I now meant to go at 1AM???? As I had left with the key because I expected to return to the room or be given an alternative they told me that I must return the room key by 10am. At this stage, I was extremely upset at the situation and sent them voicenotes telling them how unacceptable it was and I would not be coming back to return the key. Yes, they apologised but basically told me to go back to the agent I had made the booking with for then to sort it out e.g booking.com AND if I attempt to re-enter the room they would call the police as I don't have a booking now!!! Unbelievable. BE WARNED IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING STAYING HERE, EVEN FOR JUST 1 NIGHT.
