Good size room with a big king size bed with equally good size bathroom! Both Room and Bathroom were clean and well stocked with basic supplies of tea,coffee and bathroom toiletries. Breakfast included with plenty of hot options all cooked fresh with unlimited juices, coffees and general ingredients of a Continental breakfast to help yourself to while waiting.

Carparking is free when staying but can be difficult to get a space at busy pub opening time, but main problem the disable space always in use! never saw one car showing a blue badge and as I was travelling with a person on crutches with a badge he had to walk from overflow carpark which wasn't easy for him!

Setting was lovely. So unusual to witness ALL staff members being jolly, helpful and professional. Helped to set a very pleasant atmosphere. Well done. Value for money. Personally we felt you could easily add 25% possibly 50% to accommodation price's without a problem. An argument for ' selling yourselves short? '

The bathroom in room 178. The two spotlights that were working were very low wattage. Add the fact another was not working, meant a very dark room. However, more importantly, the bathroom extractor fan was on constantly. Not such a problem at 4pm when distracted by general noise. But at 4am is sounded like a generator! And certainly disturbed our nights sleep. This could easily spoil someone's stay. But we didn't let it spoil ours as we only booked the one evening. If we were staying extra nights we certainly would have been forced to request maintenance take a look. Reception was busy on the Sunday and there only appeared to be junior staff on duty, so we didn't report the problem.

Such a beautiful building in a great location right outside micklegate bar. The room itself was very clean and the bed was comfy. Great variety of tea and coffee too which is always good too. Bathroom was amazing you could make the lights brighter or dimmer and the mirror had a light built in, shower was great pressure.

For nearly £120 you'd think you'd get a cooked breakfast but no, you were allowed pastries, yoghurt and granola, toast and fruit for free but had to pay more for hot food. If I'd known before I'd have just gone out for breakfast, still a nice spread but I think it's abit cheeky when the room was so much already.

The location was terrific in a quiet complex but within easy walking distance (2 minutes) of the town center, wonderful restaurants, the river and the station.

There was really nothing not to like! The apartment had all the necessary amenities. An outdoor seating area would have been a bonus - but we were out and about most of the time so not an issue

Comfortable bed. Room was a good size and the house is in a quiet location a short walk from the town centre.

The price was outrageous and we only booked due to lack of alternative accommodation. The 'superior' room was not very special and had an odd partitioned en-suite with a shower cabinet with a badly fitting door. The breakfast choices were a bit odd and restricted although the food was quite good. The host was not very accommodating when I said I may need an early breakfast.

Booked 6 rooms, unfortunately 1 couple went down with COVID prior to the stay so called the hotel and were told to cancel the booking on booking.dotcom and we would be refunded for this room. We did this but on arrival at the hotel they were waiting for bookingdot com to pay them ? and they said they would refund us later for the 1 room. Unfortunately they never did!

There was a festival on so our relaxing break had zero beautiful views and we overlooked the car park. The hotel offered a partial refund but to be fair our entire night away was wasted.
