- “Baan Thai House is a really beautiful hotel set in really lovely grounds. We booked 2 rooms which were both absolutely lovely and one of the rooms had the bonus of an outdoor shower. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. We really loved the pool area which was well maintained with plenty of sun beds and a beautiful setting by the river. The staff were wonderful; extremely friendly and very helpful. We booked a sunset river tour through the hotel which was excellent and were dropped off at the night market for food. They also arranged a transfer back to Bangkok too. The hotel is a short tuk tuk or taxi ride to the main sights and we liked the fact it was tucked away in a lovely quiet area surrounded by well maintained gardens and a lovely lake. Would definitely stay here again!”

  The pool was closed 4 refurbishment but will be ace when opened. We had the dinner it was cooked to perfection good choice & service was 1st class The buffet breakfast was cold We arrived down at 9 am it was Sunday the black pudding & eggs were like rubber due to time scale of being put in bay marine. Bacon cold & beans sausages skin was tough.It was a shame as it was good quality .i got them 2 heat bacon up and give me a poached egg . Also you must let staff in kitchen know not to put old bacon with new .I think if they made.less then top up when finished it would be really hot .it was a let down . When I mentioned 2 kitchen staff I was completely ignored ?very naughty

  The bed was comfortable. We asked for a quiet room and apart from the long distance to get to it, I would agree, it was quiet.

  There were two really loud events happening at or around the property, which we were unaware of. The smell in the corridors walking to our room was not at all pleasant; think stale vomit stains on the hallway carpets. There were no towels in the room; we had to ask for them on reception. There were ants in the shower wall, which came out when the water was turned on. There was nowhere to put anything toiletries in the bathroom.

  Food and beverage was slow, afternoon we ordered food and they forgot our fries. Later on we ordered room service to be told they had no burgers left at 8pm and offered chicken burger, ordered original with no Davy e and chicken burger came covered in da ice, ordered mushrooms on sourdough and for a croque monsieur and this all came 90 minutes later and at that stage it wasn’t what we ordered and kitchen closed so we left it outside. Stafff were great but shocking that no burgers on a Saturday night at 8 and wedding on so hotel busy with that.. Breakfast was fabulous the next morning though.

  Decor a little bit tired with peeling wall paper etc, blinds in top floor only which let light in from sunrise, kitchen ok but a 6 bedroom house with only two tall glasses so had to take in turns to drink juice in the morning. The freezer was worse for wear with an exploded bottle of proseco in second drawer. TV was a nightmare wires everywhere one had been damaged so TV wouldn't work so watched football on I Pad. In general just needs a little bit of love and care. Take your own towels.

  It’s very expensive, and it was not clean some spider on the wall and the garden it was really dirty And the owner of the old mill he was always contact on my phone and always make me stress and he was contact me about moving car from car park and everything is not right with this property He charged me £40 extra when I arrived I don’t know Why
