Iceland is a wonderful place of nature that every human being has to witness..... where you can visit black sand, white mountains, and red lava in the same place, and where you can see ice glaciers at beach banks. Where you can cave in ice caves and hike on waterfalls hills, where you can walk on ancient lava fields, and where you can watch a lava show with real lava from Katla. Where you can fly over Iceland in the "FlyOver Iceland" show, where you can witness puffins and whales, and where you can get wet with geothermal geysers. Where you can touch rainbows at the feet of waterfalls and gaze at hundreds of waterfalls from small to big. Where you can dive between tectonic plates and snowmobile on glaciers, where you can bathe in geothermal pools, and where you can experience the Northern Lights, an actual wonder of nature. Where you can travel on top of lava from the air and meet beautiful and humble Icelandic people. Where you can feel that something is still left to witness every morning when you wake up. where you can think that you haven't fully experienced nature until now, after sightseeing Iceland day by day. Where you can hear inspirational survival stories from the guides and finally where you can miss a place while leaving

Really good selection of planned tours with knowledgeable and friendly guides. Sky lagoon a must. The extra for the seven step ritual not necessary, but a nice add on. Whale watching, Golden Circle tour with the stop at the Tomato Farm and Horse Farm recommended. Plenty of museums to visit and choice of eateries. Try the Food Hall. Public Transport recommended, especially from the Airport.

We didn't see any of the sights we had planned to visit in Reykjavik. We had so many issues trying to get into the hotel. When we finally got access to a 'waiting room', we dared not to leave in case we couldn't get back in. Shared the space with other "unsuspecting" travellers who had the same difficulties getting inside. This was not a good experience for senior travellers who are used to entering a hotel in normal fashion. Our friend travelling with us had mobility issues and was on a different floor and had to access her room using different sets of stairs to get to her room. We found out the night before that the hotel had changed to be self access.

We had a wonderful visit to Reykjavik, before our NCL Cruise. The city was beautiful, and we highly recommend staying at the Vintage Hotel! Staff was accommodating, and wonderful, allowing us to check in early, so we could enjoy our Reykjavik Food Walk. The food walk excursion was probably one of the best my wife and I have ever experienced. The Vintage Hotel is located across the street from a really nice breakfast restaurant, which we enjoyed both mornings. We will be back! Shopping and lots of tourist sites are all within walking distance of the Vintage. We also recommend the Godafoss Waterfalls and Hot Springs excursion.

I do not recommend Reykjavik to visit at all.

I do not recommend Reykjavik to visit at all. I visited at the beginning of June. It was extremely cold and windy, which made walking very difficult. I almost lost my scarf due to heavy winds. It even hailed! There is not much to see or do unless you like snow or snowmobiling. Then you should come in the winter and also go on a monster truck trip on ice. Hiking may be a good activity. Everything else is very overrated. The nature does not look real; there is no normal looking soil, mostly rocky terrains or volcanic turf Very limited kind of short trees. Very very expensive, especially restaurants! No meal is less than 40$. Overall, it's depressing. People are nice but cold, just like the weather. The only nice activity is hot springs. I really liked the Sky Lagoon, and I would definitely recommend going there to relax your nerves!

First tip for travelers, check the weather forecast and prepare for all options. Weather is changeable, but other than that, Reykjavik is a wonderful city for travelers, The hotel options are amazing and there are so many wonderful things to see and do. The museums, shopping, and restaurants are varied and so much fun. The Whale, Perlan and Phallic museums are must sees. If you stay downtown, almost everything is within walking distance. Taxis are plentiful and prices are reasonable. If you rent a car, be prepared to spend an inordinate amount of time searching for parking in the city. Free parking is extremely hard to find and you must have the Parka app to pay for parking, The scenery outside the city is amazing. The roads are well maintained and well marked, Speed limits are strictly enforced via cameras. We found that out the hard way as speed limits drop quickly when approaching a city/town. We rented a car and spent 10 days touring the country. We had to quit stopping every couple of miles to take pictures of all the marvelous waterfalls and scenery or we would have never made our itinerary. It was breathtaking,,, Most interesting - Golden Mile, , Glacier Tours, and the buffet at The Tomato Greenhouse restaurant. We have visited Iceland twice and looking forward to a third.

Very nice hotel in the center of Reykjavik! We were walking distance to the church, great bars and restaurants, the beautiful conference center and the coast. Also very close to bus stop 14, where we went for pick up for various day tours in Iceland. Morning breakfast was good and appreciated. The staff were very friendly and helpful with questions. We also received a free dinner at a local restaurant, which was a really nice surprise! The room was small but very comfortable. We asked for twin beds and got a twin bed room.

The rooms are spacious and clean. Decor is also stylish and not tacky. The staff are friendly and helpful with any questions we had. The breakfast offered at the hotel is great as well, a decent amount of food options. The location is fairly convenient, within walking distance of downtown Reykjavik. You can be picked up by transfer buses to the airport at Bus stop number 15, which is within 2 minutes of walking distance from the hotel, which is nice. There are a number of good restaurants nearby as well.

One of the cheap nice hotels I found in Reykjavik for thanks to booking.com. Very clean rooms. The hotel has really friendly staff. They were able to provide for my requests of cutlery dead of the night. The location is also great! bus stops are near by. hotel also provides a pick up service from the airport for an economic fee. Breakfast was also pretty decent. Not many vegetarian options but with bread and salad veggies, it’s also easy to set a sandwich. :)

This accommodation is a really good choice to travel and explore Iceland. A bit far from Reykjavik center, but with good parking places and completely next to the cheapest shopping place, Bonus. So you can buy some foods directly next to your apartment, cook something and start your whole day trips all around the island. The property was completely clean, comfortable, with super easy access with door codes. The kitchen is full equipped. Just recommended!

Hotel was in a great location, desk clerk was very friendly and check in and check out was very easy. Breakfast buffet was easily the best I've had at a hotel - awesome selection and quality. Well worth the price of breakfast. Rooms, while somewhat spartan, were nice and very clean and comfortable as was the entire hotel itself. Location is great with a very short walk to downtown, shopping, restaurants, and a nice community park.

The localization was amazing, right in the city center - close to the airport, the bus station, shops, restaurants, and bars. Excellent beautiful modern room (bed, bathroom etc.) just like on the photo's. It's a recent build new hotel, that's why. Only around 10 minutes walk from beginning main street (foodhall/BSI bus platform). If book earlier is average cheaper then the ones in and around the city centre. No noise from people outside, because quiet neighborhood. You can sleep much better also rooms are more isolated.

The hotel is located right in the middle of downtown Reykjavik. I stayed on the 8th floor and the view was spectacular. As an added bonus - if you like planes - the approach to Reykjavik domestic airport which is only 2 km away goes straight over the hotel. It’s not a busy airport so your sleep wont be disturbed.
