The host was friendly and the system of booking your evening meal and next day pack up on arrival was genius, they are used to catering for walkers and cyclists. Evening bar food was good and the breakfast freshly made and plentiful. Room was comfortable if slightly basic, with a coffee machine. The location was perfect for us just off the trans pennine trail when cycling. Great view from the room.

The location was great, a perfect spot to explore the Peaks. The house was well equipped and comfortable. Parking was available. The decor was great and communication with the host was good. The kitchen is well stocked and the welcome bowl of fruit and snacks was a nice touch. There were loads of toiletries in the bathroom which was a nice touch.

    The bungalow was ideally located . Appreciated that basics were provided such as salt, Pepper and oil . Good selection of pots and pans . It was very clean and well presented. Hoping to book again in August . Definitely would recommend as value for money .

    Glossop is a fabulous market town, with great walking in the dark peak close by. Culturally it is developing its offer with galleries, restaurants and events. It has close access links, with Manchester a 30min train ride away.

    Beautiful countryside walks lots of dog friendly pubs. Local taxi company Padtax were amazing and if you let them know you have a little dog on booking and give them notice they will do everything to accommodate the request and are very reasonably priced x

    Stay in Old Glossop vs Glossop proper.

    Stay in Old Glossop vs Glossop proper. The whole area, however, very scenic. manor Park nice for a walk, especially on a hot day. Aircraftwreck Superfortress ‘Overexposed’ is 4 mile walk uphill but worth a visit. Go,to the Queens Head for a Traditional English Meal vs The Bulls Head for tapas.

    Pub is in Old Glossop, 10 - 15 mins. walk from Glossop town centre. Old Glossop very quaint in an interesting way. Two other pubs and a lovely park 2 mins. walk from the Queens. Country walks also right on doorstep. Glossop itself a pleasant town with all the amenities one could reasonably require available. Regular trains from Manchester Piccadilly with a half hour journey time.

    Lovely little town great central location for visiting other areas, great selection of pubs and restaurants, parking is a bit of an issue for overnights but if you ask the locals they are very friendly and helpful

    Excellent location, central to all amenities. Situated in the centre of town next to the train station. Plenty of parking available if travelling by car. Taxi rank just outside if needed. Can't fault the service at the Norfolk Arms, the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. There's a good choice of food on the menu, which is delicious.

    We had a lovely relaxing stay, the property was quite quirky and dog friendly. Located on a remote farm backing onto lovely walks, but only 5 miles from Glossop. Property was well equipped including 3 TVs and everything you’d need in a kitchen.
