Magnificent buildings, and a superb museum of modern art (GoMA). Extraordinarily diverse range of restaurants/cuisines all close to Glasgow Central and Queen Street railway stations. Also a jumping off point for the incredibly scenic Western Highlands railway. Friendly locals : )Guest review bycarolina (polly)Australia - 2.0

There are somehow literally no museums or libraries open on Mondays or tuesdays, which were the days I was stuck there as a travel layover. So I got stuck literally just sitting in a park in the rain twice for several hours waiting to check in to my hotel, as there was nothing else to do since I didn’t need anything from any stores or restaurants and no other indoor spaces or activities were open within an hour and a half of the city centre by public transit. There are also only two small, museums available even on other days. Inverness might actually have the worst museum ratio Ive encountered in the British isles. Almost everywhere else has some form of local history museum or the like, Inverness has one historic house and one art gallery.Guest review byAmeliaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
The beach is long and clean.
The beach is long and clean. There is a lot of construction work ongoing at the ice rink and swimming pool. It will be very good. Amustments and funfair open at 10. Ideal for the kids. The City is great for walking with nice parks with mostly clean streets. Of course it has its not so nice parts where the junkies hang about, every major city or town has them. Art gallery and museums worth a visit. loads of eating places.Guest review byBrian StarkUnited Kingdom - 8.0

A small town but with shops, cafes, cinema and good rail and bus links.speciailses in outdoor activities as UK outdoor centre. The West Highland walking Way from Glasgow ends here and the Great Glen way to Inverness commences. Lots of walks from low level to high mountains with bike trails and plentiful buses to lochs and mountains. The town sits on a loch amidst mountains and the loch is actually a 30 mile inlet of the Atlantic. Thomas Telfords, Caledonian Canal and Neptunes Staircase ( locks) is nearby with boat moorings.Guest review bygeorgeUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Love this port as watching boats coming in and out to and from the islands is so interesting. Gift shops are lovely to walk round and we also enjoyed seeing the museum with artifacts from the wars as well as history of the town. We enjoyed going up to the lovely McCaigs tower overlooking the town. Spectacular views and interesting place to read history ofGuest review byAndrea - 10.0

Pitlochry is a delightful town with a lot of Victorian architecture, many excellent places to eat and interesting shops to browse. It is a good launching point to see several interesting sites and the Pitlochry Festival Theatre is excellent. We ate at Port na’Craig restaurant and MacKay’s Fish and Chips; two extremes of cuisine but both were delicious. Try the Orange Wine at Port na’Craig.Guest review byGabrielleUnited Kingdom - 10.0
