The beaches and blue water were stunning.
The beaches and blue water were stunning. We stayed in the middle of the island and found 2 good restaurants to eat at. Our full day there was spent swimming with the whale sharks and we returned to Isla Mujeres North Beach for a swim and lunch. The weather was extremely hot and unfortunately the shaded areas were all owned and needed to be paid for. Isla Mujeres is a small but very busy island, very popular...
Isla Mujeres is a small but very busy island, very popular among american tourists. It's easy to get there by ferry from Cancun. There is no need for a car, you can rent a golf cart, there is no public transport. Playa de Norte is very busy with boats coming for a day as well. Isla was clean and safe!!! The locals were friendly and so fun. We enjoyed our golf cart tour with Island Robby tours. We also enjoyed renting a golf cart from Prisma, catching sunrise at Punta Sur, and exploring the island on our own. We snorkeled at Garrafon de Castilla and saw hundreds of colorful fish. We booked a private tour of Chichen Itza and a Cenote as well. Love love love Isla Mujeres!Guest review byThompsonUnited States

Izla hotel would probably be best for a couples holiday as highly romantic - I would love to go back with my husband. Location is great, we hired golf carts and explored the island and it was so reachable. Taxis to the ferry were around $10 UDD which we found very reasonable! There is a golf cart hire shop just down the road so we picked ours up from there! The staff are highly attentive, very friendly.
