We were treated so nicely by all the staff. The property itself was pretty cool. It did offer a lot of activities for parents and children of all ages. We went with two children under 5 and still had a blast. Our room was very clean on arrival. The rv park also looked pretty cool. We ate at the breakfast buffet and thought highly of it with a fair amount of options to choose from. The pools and bathrooms were clean. And the view from the balcony rooms was stunning.

FAQs about hotels in Pigeon Forge

A Tennessee Mountain Home

Pigeon Forge is a family entertainment hotbed in the Great Smoky Mountains. Though ‘great’ is quite an understatement, as the sight of blue mist hovering above forested peaks is simply breathtaking.

The most famous attraction is undoubtedly Dollywood, where a steam train puffs around a host of rides and shows in a theme park named after country legend Dolly Parton. Within the grounds is the Southern Gospel Museum and Hall of Fame, and next door are pools and waterslides at Dolly’s Splash Country.

Cowboy boots should be at the ready for the singer’s Dixie Stampede dinner theatre and the Country Tonite Theater, and toe-tapping is also virtually guaranteed at the Grand Majestic Theater and Smoky Mountain Opry.

The Old Mill is a wooden watermill on the Little Pigeon River, once part of a forge complex which sparked the town’s name. Also by the river are some Pigeon Forge outlet malls and the NASCAR SpeedPark which hosts car and truck events. The Elvis Museum houses memorabilia of ‘The King’ while the Titanic Museum is a floating, half-size replica of the doomed ship.

This is just the tip of the iceberg and with Booking.com’s great deals on pet-friendly hotels and cheap motels on Pigeon Forge Parkway, you might just be tempted to do what the town’s sign requests: Y’all come back.

Pigeon Forge is a great location for a family vacation.

Pigeon Forge is a great location for a family vacation. There are numerous activities, shows, and attractions. It's only 20 minutes from Gatlinburg which also has many attractions to visit. If you plan on visiting one of the dinner shows, check their schedule online in advance as they may be sold out if you wait until arrival (it depends on the season). It is veteran-friendly and most shows and some attractions offer discounts for veterans. We love it!

Anything you could want is at your fingertips.

Anything you could want is at your fingertips. Unfortunately that is not what I wanted out of my vacation to the great smoky mountains. It is too much a tourist trap. Definitely not a walkable experience and you have to pay for everything you do. Parking fees prevent many from being able to participate. Oh and the national park is horrible now, you can’t find anywhere to park to even buy a parking pass. They need to just set up admission booths and charge you as you enter the park. I never could get a parking space to buy a pass. Spent well over an hour trying in two days.

I have watched Pigeon Forge grow since pre-Dollywood.

I have watched Pigeon Forge grow since pre-Dollywood. The planning is great. There are a total of 6 lanes for traffic and ample turning lanes and traffic lights to manage the heavy usage. The attractions are the best I have seen. We rode, Sky-Fly a clone of Soarin at Epcot and enjoyed it more than expected. Great restaurants including The Old Mill, our favorite, and diverse shopping. We had not been to The Island since it has been upgraded. We spent a day there and had a great time. AVOID PAULA DEAN'S restaurant. They play the scam of, all you can eat, but the servings are small for a large crowd and seconds must be BEGGED for and the wait time is prohibitive. I will never return and I warn everyone I can. They have done a great job of making the environment fun with animatronic dinosaurs placed throughout the area and a fantastic dancing fountain choreographed to music.

I am no stranger to Pigeon Forge, but this time I chose to do the more "touristy" things in the area. We had a great time playing mini golf, exploring the area, and eating all the food. As far as food goes it is not what I would call a foodie destination; food was fine but was typically bland. For better selections of food we ventured into Gatlinburg to Greenbriar Restaurant. Local attractions were plentiful and it is an extremely kid-friendly area. I wish there were more motor-friendly mountain activities for those who aren't able to hike or prefer not to do so.

Pigeon Forge is a great place for a short vacation.

Pigeon Forge is a great place for a short vacation. There is so much to do and lots of shopping. The Island is always very busy, but sitting beside the water fountain, watching the colorful water dancing to music is so relaxing. However, not a fan of the Jurassic Park theme. We have visited several times, and this is the first time the Island had such a theme, and we were there last year. It might be okay for children, but as adults, we're not a fan.

Our family's favorite vacation spot since the 1980's - now we are taking the grandkids.. We purchase season passes to Dollywood - amusement park changes themes and atmosphere with each season. Plenty of great restaurants to try in the area, easy transportation on the trolly if you don't want to drive in the area. We also enjoy the local mountain coasters, go cart tracks, putt putt golf, The Island, shopping and tubing in Townson. No trip is not complete without a visit to Gatlinburg - only a trolly ride away.

I loved the price point for a 2 bedroom in the middle of Pigeon Forge, close to attractions. I was disappointed with the indoor pool. Not enough parking. And while the rooms were clean, the outside and near elevators (and the inside of the elevators) was lacking. Dirty, graffiti, not at all similar to the interior.
