Rooms were clean, efficient and quiet. The breakfast buffet had lots of choices if you can live without beans and fried eggs (I can).

I had the pleasure of staying at The Midland in June 2025, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, the hotel’s historic charm and grandeur made me feel like I was stepping into a Manchester icon. The building itself is stunning, with its beautiful architecture and timeless elegance. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming throughout my stay, always ready to assist with a smile. My room was spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed, with every detail carefully thought out to ensure a relaxing stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I slept wonderfully. The dining options at the hotel were outstanding — breakfast was a delight each morning, with fresh and delicious selections that set the perfect tone for the day. The location is also unbeatable, right in the heart of Manchester, making it easy to explore the city’s highlights within walking distance. It’s rare to find a hotel that perfectly combines classic elegance with modern comfort, but The Midland does just that. My stay was so memorable and enjoyable that I have already decided to come back again in August — because when you find a place that feels this special, you simply can’t stay away.

Had a wonderful 24 hrs in Manchester being a tourist, despite being born here! Wandered the cosmopolitan streets, had great food and cocktails at Banyon and the Secret Cat Club. Enjoyed shopping. Watched 2:22 A Ghost Story at the Oper House which was brilliant and enjoyed the titanic exhibition at Manchester Central Convention Centre. Also enjoyed a look round the John Rylands Library. The architecture and vibes in the city are awesome.

Lovely spacious and clean rooms. Plenty of facilities. Location is pretty central and most of Manchester city centre is walking distance. The price was reasonable given how busy Manchester was on this weekend, I didn't mind paying a slight bit extra when I know this hotel is a good one from previous visits.

Great apartment in every respect. Spacious for a group of six guests. Location was situated in a central location, just up from Piccadilly station. Decor was as pictured and very clean with plenty of towels left out. Tea and coffee left out. The best apartment I’ve stayed in Manchester City centre.

OX is a basic hotel, a role it fulfils well. As long as you expect no more than that you will not be disappointed. It is close to the centre of Eccles and both the rail and tram/bus terminals. As a less expensive option to Manchester City Centre hotels it is fine
