Breakfast and evening meals were lovely - including both vegan and gluten-free options. We had a family room which was perfect for us and our teenage daughter as the sofa bed is in a separate area to the main bedroom. The main bedroom was small but was fine for us. If you're on foot, the hotel is only a 15 minute walk from Lymington town train station, and less than half an hour to walk round to Lymington Pier if you plan to take the ferry over to Yarmouth.

Lymington is such a pretty town, full of shops, tea rooms & pubs. The marina is at the bottom of the cobbled section of the high street, a lovely pub there with sun terrace overlooking the water. Here you can catch the ferry to the Isle of Wight too. So many floral displays around the town make it so picturesque. Nearby you have the beautiful Milford-On-Sea, this is a must with your visit, a tiny village with a seaside. Again lots of tea shops & nice pubs, plus a few charity shops that support the village.

We stayed here for the lymington seafood festival it's a quaint seaside town with many good quality restaurants ,pubs and cafes the town has an extensive harbour , bus station and a train station all in close proximity to the high street there are plenty of boutique shops, as well as a sailing club which has a seawater lido and the new forest is only minutes from your door step ,we found that the town has a warm and friendly atmosphere ,we met strangers at our hotel and at the festival by the time our weekend was over we felt we had made many friends If you like a BnB that makes you or someone you love feel special ,the Britannia will not disappoint Can not wait to return

Good location but on a fairly steep hill which some might find tiring. Lovely harbour views and lots of independent shops . Hotel car park only holds 12 cars so that made planning trips out a worry as you are aware on the return you may not have a space and would have to use the public car park which is limited to 20 hours. The Lanes resturaunt is well worth a visit.

Clean, compact yet spacious, light ,airy and nicely decorated. Fab kitchen and bathroom. I had a few rainy days and it was a pleasure and a comfort to stay in. Haven retreat is a 15-20 minute walk from coastal walks, Lymington high Street, the harbour, food shops, let's say it's perfectly situated, especially for the open top hop on hop off bus that runs in the summer , it has three routes covering the whole of the new forest. Great fun, no driving . Cindy was there, a call away if there was anything else I needed. Xx
