Lovely Park with walks, cafe, playground and a great little train for the Kids and the Young at Heart. Nice little town with national retail and independant shops. St Mary's Church is nice to visit too. There are two Wetherspoons and several Costa's/Caffè Nero's plus independently owned eating places too. This hotel is perfect if you want amazing food in a lovely location. It is quite central to a lot of walking trails, also some amazing walks from the hotel. Unfortunately we didn't see much of the town apart from a visit to Morrisons for basics/fuel and a visit to a take away Chinese that only took cash. Chesterfield is a lovely market town which still holds market days which is nice to see. The crooked spruce is a sight to see and you can climb up the stairs to the base of the spire. Indian blues not far from the train station is a must it’s a hidden gem.Guest review byRobertUnited Kingdom
