Very busy place during the day.
Very busy place during the day. There is a ginger bread shop by the church that has William Wordsworth's grave. This must be the busiest shop in Britain. From around 9.30 till 4.30 there is a queue. If you think I exagerate, go visit, and happy waiting. Some nice galleries, cafes and restaurants. All accomodation in Grasmere looks high end. Lovely scenery and walks. The bus service is fantastic we used quite a lot.
The bus service is fantastic we used quite a lot. Fantastic for a walking and sightseeing. The Swan hotel is a very good location we also noticed that there was camping beside the car park in Grasmere. Grasmere is probably my favourite place in the Lake District! I like the tranquility, the quiet atmosphere and it has a lot to offer. Baldry’s café is superb and shops are great. Grasmere is a charming village with plenty of cafe's, restaurants as well as a nice supply of shops especially outdoor wear. There are some stunning local walks around Grasmere and we recommend the hike up Easedale Tarn and the Waterfall at Sour Milk Gill. Grasmere is nestled between the mountains and is so pretty; the scenery is beautiful and the village is quaint.Guest review byFindlay

Spacious, clean, huge Queen size bed. The breakfast was brilliant, as was the complimentary afternoon cream tea. The chef prepared it all fresh in the open pantry kitchen, delightful.
