We were lucky enough to land on the tippy top floor and it was fabulous! My daughter left without her Airpods and the staff were good enough to conduct a thorough search of the room and found them under a bed, we're very grateful.

At the meeting point of Australia’s Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast, laid-back Brisbane is spread around the meandering river running through it. The river’s artsy South Bank is home to Australia’s largest modern art gallery, tranquil gardens and an artificial beach. Just across the river is the towering skyline of Brisbane's central business district, the location of many hotels in central Brisbane.
Nearby are the botanic gardens and Queen Street Mall, the most popular Brisbane shopping spot. There are more shopping centers all over the city, and the out-of-town malls include one in the Indooroopilly suburb by the foothills of Mount Coot-tha.
This green hill offers fabulous city views and has a planetarium, nature reserve and yet more botanic gardens. In Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary to the south, you can hug one of the lovable animals, while Australia Zoo – Steve Irwin’s legacy – is a good day trip.
Brisbane is a very leafy city and one of its parks, Wickham Park, contains the Old Windmill, Brisbane’s oldest building. To the northeast, the Fortitude Valley suburb is known for its vibrant music scene and Chinatown. Across the river in Woolloongabba is The Gabba or Brisbane Cricket Ground, and nearby is the bohemian West End district.
Booking.com has plenty of downtown hotels, and other accommodations near Brisbane Airport in a northeastern coastal suburb.
We stayed in what would be considered the business district,...
We stayed in what would be considered the business district, just across the river to the South Side, which was within walking distance and had a wonderful riverside walking area, botanical garden, remnants of their World Expo, and museums. In a different direction, there was a closed street mall (where you could walk between buildings filled with shops and food stops). Every time we went out, we found free concerts and music: a singing competition, the Queensland Youth Orchestra, and even a free concert in the City Hall by the only Brass Orchestra in Australia. At one point, we even heard bagpipe music in the distance!
Walking around felt safe. The people at the Information centers were very helpful as well, and offered several maps, including a walking map with four options and help with any transportation questions. We opted to take a day tour to the Australia zoo, which was very reasonably priced and extremely impressive. All-iin-all it was the best ending to our time in Australia!

We were near Howard Smith Wharves which we had never been to. They were interesting though way overpriced for everything they offered. The area around was lots of coffee shops and a couple of small supermarkets. The river walk was great and we enjoyed it at night as we headed out for dinner then returned. Felt very safe at all times.

Lots of things to do in Brisbane, plus it is centrally located between the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast and also the Hinterland, with such places as Mount Tamborine and also Montville and Malaney are all just a day trip away . On the negative side it cost me a fortune in Road Toll fees and the traffic is horrendous.

The accommodation was great for what we wanted.
The accommodation was great for what we wanted. However, it stated we were staying in one building, but they booked us into a different block, and there was no off street parking as advertised on the booking. com website.

It's late May & still warm enough to wear shorts & Tee shirts. The City is not as big as Sydney & Melbourne, but the Pubs & restaurants are just as good as those cities. The Area under the Storey Bridge is nice to visit for breakfast, lunch & dinner. Ferry rides on the river & bike rides along the river are highly recommended.
My room was comfortable with all the anticipated amenities provided. Staff were outstandingly thoughtful, courteous and highly professional. I had no unmet need during my stay.
Breakfast was the only meal I ate at the hotel, but that was excellent each morning.
The location of the hotel is superb: close to all amenities of the CBD with access to trains immediately below the hotel building with access to Central Station without even having to go outside but merely descend the escalators to the station below. An excellent stay.
Small hotel on Kangaroo Point, across the river from Brisbane's CBD (downtown). We had a nice 2-night stay. Very clean. Comfortable bed. Spacious room with full size fridge and cooking facilities. Chris at the front desk is very helpful. We recommend taking the short 2-3 minute walk eastward (turn right as you leave the hotel, then left at the river) to Medley Cafe for a lovely breakfast; the cafe is set amongst trees and overlooks the river.
The pool area was fantastic. The location was great. 5 minute walk to free ferry. Quiet spot but close to city. Parking was also cheaper than cbd apartments. We had a one bedroom unit at the back of the complex that overlooked the pool. The apartment was spacious with a large balcony. We booked this apartment because of the affordable price compared to the city. It was a quick walk to the river to view the fireworks display.
Very large king room, good facilities - large TV, kitchen, fridge, air-con. lounge chairs, very comfy bed with firm pillows.
Very quiet. Good view of city. Swimming pool and sun baking area. Free parking, a real plus for Brisbane! Across the road from the Shafston Hotel - great steaks! - and an IGA and coffee shop. Close to the city. Friendly check in man. Very clean and modern building and easy to access with swipe key.
I booked two different rooms, on arrival in Brisbane and on my return trip before departure, Queens size bed and King size bed, both beds were really comfortable, very helpful staff made it work for me ! thanks again !
The hotel was located between the airport and the city, bus and train in minute walking distance. very practical !
The hotel is in a lovely, historic building and beautifully restored. Everything is in new condition. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. Location was ideal for Southbank access and city attractions. Donna Chang restaurant on the ground floor was very good but super popular so need to book in advance.
The location is walking distance to central Brisbane CBD and Southbank. There are lots of food places within walking distance. There is parking on site though limited spaces for $28/ night and a narrow typical city parking. There was a hair dryer and a straightener in my room. They provided toiletries.
The view is beautiful, the location of the hotel is really good. You can go walking to CBD, Southbank, and wouldn't be more than 15 min (there were plenty of scooters at the door to be hired also). The bed is comfortable, the room was clean and although it's facing a busy road the noise wasn't so bad.
The location was the best part. Fish Lane has the most interesting and high quality restaurants in Brisbane, all within a walk away. Easy access to City, Southbank, Westend, North and West. Chris at reception was terrific and even had bonus recommendations! Totally unexpected and welcomed!
The hotel was located close to CityCat and Ferry services, close to Fortitude Valley and other CBD services. The room was spacious and matched the images online. The Hotel staff were professional, friendly and helpful in navigated directions to specific locations in the area.
Reception staff super helpful and welcoming, well appointed apartments with balcony. Everything you need. The location was a bit further out of centre as I normally stay - however location would be excellent for a someone needing a base in Brisbane for the CBD.
Was a great location, close to activities on Southbank and ease of access to Brisbane CBD
Perfect Apartment for short or longer stay with great kitchen are and washing facilities.
Most places charge for parking so free parking was excellent.
The staff were friendly and helpful, everything you need is within five to ten minutes walking distance. This time we took a train to Brisbane but the staff at the hotel are able to provide access to cheap all day parking options if needed.
The location was excellent. Right on the Brisbane river and next to the Botanical gardens. Walking distance to Southbank and the CBD. The on-site restaurant was very nice, good view and delicious food. Nice view from the room.
Very cool & modern hotel in the CBD overlooking the river and Southbank. Great attention to detail in room fitout. Certainly more interesting & fun than its muted contemporaries. Highly recommend.
The location is good for me because it's within CBD. Easily accessible to Queenscliff Mall, Southbank and Brisbane river. I like the cleanliness of the room and the lift to the car park.
