Hotels that guests love in Brisbane

  • four of us stayed for 3 nights in a 2 bedroom apartment. the apartment had a large outdoor patio which was fabulous, overlooking the river and the brisbane eye. The location was great - close to the pedestrian bridge, bike hire station, Roma Street train station (& the airport line), cbd & southbank. Able to walk or cycle easily anywhere in brisbane. Overall is was a great stay, the apartment was just a little tired and not as good as it good be.

  • Staff are always lovely, for the price of $89 it's an absolute steal. Yes it's no 5 star hotel but for the price you are paying the rooms are spacious private and clean. You wouldn't find anything this cheap or close to the airport and river cat and city in Brisbane with a private room air con, and fans, foxtel and free wifi. The TVs are nice and big, even larger then most 5 star hotel. I love staying here, the staff are gorgeous x

  • The location was great, within Brisbane CBD and very close to Central Station so that catching the train to and from the airport was easy. The beds/pillows in the room were comfortable and the gym was one of the better ones I have experienced in a hotel.

  • Great location - airport - air-train - Rendezvous - Brisbane CBD, and a hotel with 'character'.

  • Closeness to South Bank Parklands and various restaurants, etc. Also close to the venue where my husband's conference was held. Train station to the airport was close by and hotel sold train tickets which was convenient. Easy walk to Brisbane CBD.

Royal On The Park Excellent 8.9 I flew in from Norfolk Island to visit my best friend who has not long moved to Brisbane. When we arrived at the hotel we kind of felt a little bit under dressed. Our first words were wow it look amazing. We were very impressed. Although I could not afford this hotel every time I will defiantly consider staying here again next time my partner and I visit Brisbane. Beds were very Comfy, Staff was great and especially the man who checked us out as the other lady was very busy. He was very funny and great to talk to. An upgrade would be nice in the future though I am from Norfolk Island and everything is not as quite up to date as anywhere else, but we absolutely loved it and would return in a heart beat. Thank you for the kind & helpful hospitality.

    Sun-Drenched and Leafy

At the meeting point of Australia’s Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast, laid-back Brisbane is spread around the meandering river running through it. The river’s artsy South Bank is home to Australia’s largest modern art gallery, tranquil gardens and an artificial beach. Just across the river is the towering skyline of Brisbane's central business district, the location of many hotels in central Brisbane.

Nearby are the botanic gardens and Queen Street Mall, the most popular Brisbane shopping spot. There are more shopping centers all over the city, and the out-of-town malls include one in the Indooroopilly suburb by the foothills of Mount Coot-tha.

This green hill offers fabulous city views and has a planetarium, nature reserve and yet more botanic gardens. In Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary to the south, you can hug one of the loveable animals, while Australia Zoo – Steve Irwin’s legacy – is a good day trip.

Brisbane is a very leafy city and one of its parks, Wickham Park, contains the Old Windmill, Brisbane’s oldest building. To the northeast, the Fortitude Valley suburb is known for its vibrant music scene and Chinatown. Across the river in Woolloongabba is The Gabba or Brisbane Cricket Ground, and nearby is the bohemian West End district. has plenty of downtown hotels, and other accommodations near Brisbane Airport in a northeastern coastal suburb.
