It was a one night stay for 5 people before a cruise. We came from all over the country and it was very good for us. The hotel and premium room view were wonderful. We met for breakfast and viewed our ship right outside.

FAQs about hotels in Vancouver

Outstanding Capital of the Outdoors

Vancouver is an outdoorsy city ranking among the world’s most livable, sheltered by Vancouver Island and the Pacific Range mountains. The most famous peak, Grouse Mountain, is a favorite spot for hiking and skiing. Take the cable car up for magnificent views of the city's skyscrapers and huge Stanley Park.

Skirting this park is the Seawall, a popular biking trail with paths passing the Vancouver Aquarium, picnic spots and a pitch and putt course. There are also a couple of beaches, but the best ones are along English Bay in Kitsilano.

Granville Island is just across False Creek from Yaletown and houses some quirky shops and markets. Ferries depart from here to near BC Place Stadium and home field of the city’s football and soccer teams. The legendary Vancouver Canucks ice hockey team play next door at Rogers Arena.

With the largest Chinatown in North America, Gastown is the oldest part of Vancouver and is near the Canada Place cruise ship terminal.

We could go on and on about British Columbia's biggest city, but we could never do it justice, so why not try it for yourself? Booking.com has a fabulous range of accommodations, from hotels near Vancouver Airport in Richmond to downtown B&Bs and motels near all of its ferry ports.

Vancouver is awesome and it does need some days to get to know it well. Do set a budget (unless you don't care or have unlimited budget). Hotels around downtown are not cheap, and many do not include meals; so most of your budget will be used in accommodation only. If you don't have a car, look for free shuttles to Capilano and other sites. Use public transportation or walk.

Stanley Park was wonderful. We walked the entire seawall. The first night we at the the Tea House in Stanley Park. Great food, amazing views from the Tea House. On a rainy morning we visited the Vancouver Museum which I highly recommend. Vancouver is a real foodie city. They have something for everyone. The temperatures were high 60s/low 70s. Very enjoyable.

We only had one night as a stopover on the way back to New Zealand, so had an afternoon and a full day to see the city, which was long enough to appreciate its delights. it is a very attractive waterfront city, with seawall walks along both coasts, with beaches, parks, markets, historical areas, high-rise apartments everywhere. we took a couple of short rides on one of the little ferries across and along the river and, on the next day, a larger ferry to the north shore and back. There is a huge choice of great places to eat - we had a great mexican and very good. we would have liked to try chinatown, but were told it was a bit risky. There are lots of information boards about the First Nation and their experiences, and the walk through Gastown (the historic centre post-colonization) was fascinating. If we had stayed longer we would have take trips into the Rockies and to Victoria Island, rather than stay longer in the city.

Very nice city but VERY expensive.

Very nice city but VERY expensive. Hotel was about $500 US a night. It was, however, very close to everything, We took a red bus to sightsee around the city, but a taxi we used to get to the cruise terminal told us it was much cheaper to use the taxis. Lots of stuff to see and no time to see it. You'd need at least a week.

I highly suggest a city bus tour and make sure you include the Suspension Bridge Park (it was the highlight of our tour and much more to do than just the bridge). We didn't have a car but a very walkable city, but skip China Town it's very sketchy. Next time , I would spend more time and rent a car and travel outside the city.

When booking this room I did not have big expectations from all the reviews I read but staying in Vancouver for a week I needed a buget hotel. When I got there I realised that it had everything I needed. It was clean, Staff were very nice they tried to help with everything I asked for! It really needs a revamp but the beautiful view from the 12th floor in the centre of downtown and the lower price near all the other hotels close by beats the ugly curtains and furnishings and made it all worth it!

Good location - located in the downtown Vancouver, and there were many places to eat and buy stuff within walking distance from the hotel. The room was clean and the temperature was also moderate. It was convenient because the bed had a personal light and an electrical outlet. I was lucky to find the hostel I could check in on Saturday for the price. Vancouver hotels on Saturdays are insane. The staff were kind, and the roommates were as well. It was nice to meet you all :)

This is a beautiful hotel in a great location close to downtown Vancouver - Gastown, Waterfront etc. From the minute we arrived all the staff were so lovely. Our room was ready early which was a great bonus after a very long flight. It was a gorgeous big room with nice bathroom, it felt very new. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.

One of the standout features of this hotel is undoubtedly its location. Being right on Granville Island was incredibly convenient. It was so easy to step out and explore the Public Market, art studios, and unique shops. The proximity to the False Creek Ferry was also a huge plus, making it simple to get around Vancouver without needing a car.

The hotel location is ideal, a short walk from the waterfront station giving easy access to the airport, and close to Downtown, gastown and canada wharf. An umbrella weas supplied, prefect for the wet February weather and a lovely cosy bath robe. I was also upgraded from a small double to a kingsize room
