Initial room offered was small and had a very small double bed which was very disappointing. I enquired and was given an excellent room with large double bed as a free upgrade which we appreciated

A lot of reviews say that room 3 is extremely small. In my opinion, it is not that small. It is big enough for a couple with luggage. The room is nicely decorated and the bathroom is modern. The cafe downstairs is also nicely done. It is in close proximity to everything you would want to see in Bath.
Nestled in 20 acres of the serene Somerset countryside, Homewood Bath is the ultimate staycation destination.

The staff was phenomenally helpful and friendly. That were very sweet in helping my fiancée and myself celebrate our engagement weekend. They truly made it special. The service was wonderful with drinks being delivered to you where ever you were on the property. Finally the food was delicious. You couldn’t go wrong with anything on the menu. While we didn’t have pets ourselves it was quite fun seeing dogs around! You truly couldn’t go wrong with a stay here.

Wonderful, World Heritage site Bath is an impressive mix of Georgian architecture and Roman legacy. Its most famous landmark is the fantastic, natural hot spring Roman Baths. Although everything above the pillar bases is from a later period, you still get an idea of its appearance in Roman times. Sadly you can’t bathe here, but across the street the rooftop pool at Thermae Bath Spa offers views of Bath Abbey and the surrounding hills.
Check out the stained-glass windows in the abbey, England’s last remaining Gothic church. Its square houses Pump Rooms dispensing hot spring water from the Roman baths.
Just behind, the Parade Gardens by the Avon River overlook Bath Rugby Club, the multi-level Pulteney Weir and registered historic Pulteney Bridge, lined with shops. Other Bath shopping options include Southgate Shopping Centre, the bohemian Walcot Street market, and brand-name stores on Milsom and George streets.
North is The Circus, a circular square lined with Georgian townhouses, only marginally less impressive than the Royal Crescent down the road. You can now visit number 1 Royal Crescent, restored to its 18th-century glory.
Before heading to Bristol Airport from your Bath hotel, take time to try the famous Sally Lunn Bun and stop at the pleasant pubs along the Kennet and Avon Canal.
Hop on and off bus was good
Roman bath was better than expected
Bath abbey was disappointed, a very plain church, not worth the money, churches should be free to enter
Also charges to enter a public park by the river very greedy of bath councillors

Bath was beautiful, lots to do and see, do the bus tours, very useful, visit the royal crescent, including number one. Better than the Jane Austin visitor centre. Do visit Wells nearby, do the cathedral tour in Wells , was a highlight for us. Roman Baths obviously good, but a bit pricy, and book it in advance. Bath is worth a visit! When in Wells eat in the pressior

It’s a beautiful city, very clean, we enjoyed the bus tour which enabled us to see more, we enjoyed the places we visited but would love to return to visit the places we missed this time, the Abbey is spectacular. There were plenty of nice restaurants, and had a delicious afternoon tea at the Jane Austen Centre.

Bath is a very historic place obviously ( I was born and lived in Oxford until my late 20s so understand tourism )
Everything is very expensive which would make you have to decide what to visit if funds were restricted or time was limited
I believe that anyone with a UK passport or Birth Certificate should get a discounted entry rate

We enjoyed the compact nature of the city centre, which we could amble about on foot. The open-topped tourist bus was a good way to get an overview of Bath at the start of our holiday. We particularly enjoyed visiting the Abbey for Choral Evensong - the choir was amazing - also the Jane Austen Centre and the Roman Baths. But it was also nice to spend time sitting in the square by the Abbey, listening to the bell-ringers and excellent buskers, and watching the world go by from pavement cafes when weather permitted.

We went to Bath to go to the Theatre Royal to see the excellent Mind Mangler show.
Bath itself is very busy and full of tourists, mostly foreign.
There is a huge car park in Charlotte Street, that offers 24 hour parking for £17. Which as our Hotel had a tiny car park that was full was needed.
The attractions like the famous baths are very busy and in my opinion at £27 per person expensive. But then it is Bath!
The Boathouse had the best guest room I have ever stayed at. It was spotlessly clean, the bed was so comfortable and the decor was quirky and fun. Having the balcony looking out over the river gave us a great space to get fresh air and enjoy the view.
The pub and restaurant carried on with the quirky decor and made for a relaxing area to sit and eat. A big shout out to the staff, especially Chloe, who made our stay really special.
Having the park and ride next door was great as it made getting in and out of Bath city centre really easy.
The beds were very comfortable (I do a lot of traveling and these were by far the best). The quality of the bathrooms was very good, they were like a good-quality hotel. The hot tub was a great bonus. There was plenty of space and having the office space was really good for us. It was easy to walk into town and there were shops close by to get provisions. Really appreciated the parking. The appliances were of excellent quality.
All the staff were so polite and helpful and friendly. My room (small double) was perfect, on the top floor, lovely furniture, bed was so comfortable, lovely crisp white bed linen. Quiet area of Bath close to Holburne Museum but within minutes walk of Bath centre. Parking for £10 in the local churchyard. This is now my go to hotel in Bath.
-The room was amazing, cleaned, modern and very comfortable
- The Hotel is positioned in the very centre of bath, maybe the best position, close to the most of attractions, restaurants and services!
- Breakfast Service is good enough if you want to save time in the morning, it's a little bit poor but it is also cheap, and does the job.
Very well located hotel close to the centre of Bath and sites such as the Royal Crescent and Circus. Breakfast was very good with wide variety of options to choose from. Staff helpful nd courteous. Room has very good facilities and the hotel was very clean throughout. We would definitely stay in the Francis hotel again.
Very convenient to transportation and the sights of Bath......get on the Hop On Hop Off bus close to the hotel. We enjoyed dinners there. You can eat in the bar/pub or in the restaurant. We had a driver so it was nice to have dinners there. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
A well run, fun, contemporary styled, very reasonably priced, comfortable hotel in an excellent location in centre of Bath. We have been coming to stay here for a city break in January over 3 decades and IHG are doing a great job, having invested a lot of money in renovations.
Beautiful hotel right in the middle of Bath! Just a few minutes walk from the very center.
We loved the staff, everyone was kind and helpful. We enjoyed breakfast every morning as well.
I will miss the sound of the birds every morning. It was so peaceful!
Some of the staff were amazing but others were not. We loved the location, the smallish number of guests and the nice bathrooms. We also loved that it was a dog friendly hotel. The breakfast menu was good too--the posh nosh smoked salmon and eggs was great.
One of the best boutique hotels I've stayed in. Excellent location in historic city centre of Bath, lovely room with great amenities, cute picturesque setting. The staff is very polite and helpful. Great breakfast à la carte. Would love to come back!
The hotel was gorgeous, I think I used the word wow over 5 times! The location, perfect for a first time visitor to Bath and the staff are really friendly and welcoming. The room was so classy, great facilities and the grounds!!! 😍😍
The hotel was clean, spacious and set in lovely surroundings about a 10-15 minute walk from Bath City centre.
Every member of staff was friendly, courteous and very helpful.

Lovely room with great comfy beds and great bathroom.
Very good spa facilities, some of the best we have seen in a hotel spa.
weekend breakfast was excellent.
location was perfect for exploring Bath.
We had a great time in bath. The hotel was right in the center of everything, easy to walk around. The theatre was right down the block. Plenty of restaurants. Tea time at the hotel was very nice.
Bath is a small city and everywhere is within an easy walk of the city centre. The Yard in Bath hotel is very centrally located so is ideal for a short break to explore, on foot, Bath city.
The hotel was in an ideal location in the heart of Bath, with great facilities, very friendly and helpful staff, and good food. It made for a very enjoyable stay.
