We had a bottom floor room so we just walked out from the room straight to our car . Every room had their own parking space . Check-in was at 3 we arrived by 12.30 and our room was ready so we checked straight in. The carriages restaurant next door I couldn't fault anything the staff were so pleasant and helpful and the food was the best ever and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend a visit . We ate there everyday .

Very comfortable room which included blankets in case the duvets were too hot as they often are in hotels. Large bathroom with handy drawers - hotels often lack space to put all your stuff. Very friendly, helpful staff and incredible breakfasts.

Set around the Exe River, affluent Exeter has played a part in English history from the Roman era to William the Conqueror to the Spanish Armada. Its most impressive structure is the cathedral, begun in the 11th century and boasting the longest stone roof in England.
The surrounding green is a popular picnic spot, and the half-timbered buildings and red-brick façades of the neighbouring High Street house a host of shops. Even more are in the Princesshay and Guildhall shopping centres.
The Guildhall itself is considered England’s oldest municipal building still in use, while nearby Parliament Street is one of the world’s narrowest streets. The remains of 11th-century St Nicholas Priory are now a museum, and there are more red-stone ruins at hilltop Exeter Castle (or Rougemont Castle), built into the Roman walls.
Exeter Central Station is behind the castle, while St Davids Station is nearer the university. The large student population means that the city has good nightlife, and some bars are located by the Quayside, site of Custom House. The river flows past Topsham and Powderham Castle to enter the sea at Exmouth.
To the east are Exeter Airport and the Westpoint Arena exhibition centre, both easily reached from Booking.com’s hotels with spas, cheap apartments and guest houses with parking.

I have booked and stayed with HI for the last 14 years. You know what you are going to get. Its consistently good and the rooms are regularly updated. Always so very clean. Beds are great. Breakfast was so so good. best yet in fact. Staff were tidy and friendly and could not help us enough. We did not want to book out.....a real treat and the icing on the cake THEY ACCEPT DOGS. Why on earth hotels dont allow dogs is beyond me. A huge thank you to all at this hotel.

Exeter is a lovely place , however, if driiving it is a nightmare lots of one way streets nowhere to stop if lost , almost no on street parking (unless a payment machine is there ) this is especially frustrating if visiting the royal hospital as the car park cannot cope , and all the surrounding roads are double yellow lines , many people driving around in circles missing appointments and getting angry.

Exeter quay is vibrant, attractive and a lovely area to visit. We walked along the canal whilst others paddled to a lovely pub called double locks. Lunch was excellent at the pub. Evening at local gin distillery- quayside gins which again was excellent. Only stayed one night but would highly recommend.
The location is ideal if you are travelling to Exeter Central Station or want to go out in the town centre in the evening. The hotel has a lot of character and is perfectly clean and comfortable, although there are shabby spots. The staff were all friendly and helpful. There is a large comfortable lobby and a very nice bar. Breakfast was standard and perfectly acceptable. I think this is a great choice if you want character and location with the high standards of the chain (Accor).
This hotel is the perfect location for us and is our preferred stay when travelling to Exeter. Eldest child attends the university so we come and go for various reasons and we're never disappointed. The rooms are very comfortable, the staff are friendly and the car parking is really easy across the road. It's a short walk from the hotel into town for shops and restaurants.
I was in Exeter for my graduation ceremony, and l like the location, which is near the University and the city centre,
I also like the hotel decorations, which make me feel like I live in an English house.
Also, the cleanness was beautiful.
The staff are so friendly and helpful,
The hotel was a couple of minutes walk from the main centre of Exeter, The pub was nice and the staff were friendly, The bed was really comfortable and the room was warm, There was parking on site at a charge of £5 a night which we thought was ok for parking in a city centre.
Lovely hotel in a good quiet location 5-10 mins walk into City Centre, with parking available nearby. Clean and tidy rooms, lift available for upper floors. Attentive, friendly, helpful staff, and great breakfasts. Exceeded our expectations at this price point.
The hotel was a short walk from the Cathedral, the city centre and Exeter Quay. The reception area and bar area were very nice and well appointed. The breakfast was excellent. The restaurant area was good. Our bathroom was quite modern and clean.
This hotel is worth the money, the location is convenient, very close to Exeter train station and the town centre. The host is very kind and the cleanliness perfect. The room is not very big but got everything for a short stay.
Very clean hotel, the room are smart, comfortable and clean. Staff are lovely and friendly. Cooked breakfast and parking is included. Excellent value - book with confidence. Max 5 min walk to Exeter town centre.
Great location for Uni of Exeter and close to town centre as well. Lovely welcome and friendly staff. Hot breakfast was lovely to start the day with. Small single room but very comfortable.
I come to Exeter regularly at the moment and always stay at this hotel. The staff are really friendly and helpful, the rooms are comfortable and clean and the breakfast is great
The bed was comfortable, and the hotel was walking distance to the Quay and the centre. The bathroom was also nice. Surprise mini fridge in a cupboard (we didn't use it).
Everything was great, the room, the service and the staff, helpful and pleasant. Ive used this hotel before and i will always use it when I'm in and around Exeter.
