Good food in the pub both nights we stayed. Nice view out across to the church. Kitchenette useful as we brought breakfast things plus some breakfast items are provided in case you didn't realise breakfast not included.

I have stayed here several times over the years.
It's a pleasant place to use as a base for mountain-biking at Llandegla Forest and in the nearby hills.

Lyon’s Resort we stayed in Communication before we arrived was none existent even though I contacted the property before hand.
There was no hairdryer even though they said there would be.
There were dead flies in all the light fittings and marks on the walls by the trouser press.
There were no coat hangers in the wardrobe.
There was no option of a cooked breakfast.
The place location was great for the beautiful walk we went on x

Ruthin was very quiet when we stayed Sunday and Monday night in October, just a couple of pubs. The Small Plates Tapas restaurant we planned to visit was closed both nights. The Castle and ruins are worth a walk around. Just a 10 min walk from the Castle Hotel. Nice gardens with live peacocks free to roam. Good for photographs. A market next to hotel i believe opens on a Saturday. Not much else for shoppers.

Ruthin has a lot of history and character.
Ruthin has a lot of history and character. It is well worth walking round the town and noting the architecture of buildings. Ruthin Castle brings it all together and was well situated to defend the town historically.

Ruthin is a beautiful small town.
Ruthin is a beautiful small town. We followed the Town Trail, which took us about 3 hours with a lot of stops on the way, and we could have taken longer.
Small Plates is a great restaurant, a bit like tapas. Ignore the 1 hygiene rating - we were informed by other proprietors that the local hygiene inspectors pay more attention to paper work than hygiene and mark you down if the paper work is not 10)% in order.

Ruthin supermarkets, essential shops, collectables.
The hotel is a lovely old Victorian style house in a peaceful country setting. Beautiful carved oak fireplaces, staircases and wall friezes. Every room looked clean and well kept (apart from the reception room and the two games rooms upstairs). Our room was spacious with plenty of storage and a lovely big comfy bed. A very nice bathroom, sparkling clean and big fluffy towels. It was quiet, warm and cosy. Perfect for a good night's sleep.
Very friendly staff and locals at the pub. The food was lovely, very reasonably priced and fast to arrive. We loved seeing Cyril the cat too! The room was beautifully decorated and clean, we felt very comfortable. Lots of treats in the fridge as well. The area was perfect for what we wanted and we would recommend staying here rather than in Ruthin itself.
It was lovely place but when you pay £200 a night for 2 rooms you expect to be able to use the spa facility in with the price it was descusting they charged more money , this is a very big let down and would not go back to the hotel for this reason , a work all over the country and us hotels every night av never heard anything so mad in me life
Heron's View is in an excellent location, beautiful views, extremely quiet and peaceful, yet only minutes away from Ruthin and its shops.
The cottage was spotlessly clean and warm and cosy.
The cottage had everything required for a relaxing and comfortable stay.
Would certainly recommend to anyone.
The Barn was set in the most idyllic location with stunning views all around. The hosts were very welcoming without being intrusive. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, spacious and modern, and really well equipped in the kitchen and lounge area. We will be back! :)
The location was perfect; it is so quiet it appears isolated but town of Ruthin is easily walkable. Beautiful views and even little viewing huts provided to make the most of them! Cottage was well equipped and extremely comfortable. Friendly and helpful host family.
location was good for touring around N. Wales.
The cottage was realy nice with a great terraced garden to the rear where i was able to play my bagpipes.
and the lady who owns the cottage met with the key and she was really nice and helpful.
This sweet little cottage was perfect for my family of four adults. It had everything we needed , was super comfortable and clean and the Christmas decorations were a lovely personal touch. We enjoyed discovering the town of Ruthin.
The property was very comfortable and well fitted out with lots of homely touches. It felt like a home rather than a rental. A good base for the area. The host made every effort to ensure we had everything we needed.
Lovely spacious clean room. Friendly and obliging staff. Great location on the edge of Ruthin. Good breakfast and dinner. Beautiful grounds. Love the history of the place. Good parking
