The location of the Springs Resort and Golf Club is really lovely and easy to find. The entrance is inviting and the reception staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The lodge that was stayed in was modern and had all the necessities required for an overnight stay. They even kindly put balloons and a card in the room as we stayed for my partner's birthday. They are also dog friendly which is a huge help and even the restaurant and around the golf course (not on it of course) is perfect for furry friends. The bar staff and servers were also very friendly and the food at the restaurant was very nice and affordable. My partner loved the spa and we enjoyed relaxing on the terrace looking over the golf course in the evening sun.

We recently stayed at Thames Edge Rooms and had a wonderful stay. Tim was the perfect host and we had excellent communications from him. He was always available and willing to assist The property was fantastic for us and over-met all of our needs – extremely well appointed and comprehensively equipped. The location is stunning – on the riverbank with its own seating area, summer house and comfy chairs to watch the boats go by. It is less than 5 minutes walk into the pretty town of Wallingford where there are plenty of shops and good eating places. We try not to overstate properties in our reviews, but this property is exceptional. What a find!

Our host, Shirley, was delightful and was a pleasure to get to know, even though our stay was very brief. Our room was very well equipped. Our balcony was such a great place to relax and unwind. Mornig breakfast was delicious. We will come back for sure and spend a little more time at this gem.

There’s loads to see, The antique emporium is always a great wander, we always bag a bargain. Mr Simms sweet shop has some amazing sweet stuff, especially from America and it’s bloody genuine!! , The old post office is always nice for a quick drink and let’s be honest you can’t beat a greggs 🤣🤣however I would highly recommend MOLLIES on the High Street (same side as Waitrose just a few doors down) for an amazing breakfast and a really quirky environment, you need to go cause it’s Amazing! You won’t be disappointed It’s great in the summer there’s festivals including Bunkfest which is always a great weekend and the Boat House opposite the river which is always good value .. We are retired military and have now moved back to the north east but have spent over 25 years living in Oxford,Benson and Berkshire. We still have family there, so this really is a genuine review !!

Only spent one night in Wallingford as walking the Ridgeway, it was heavy rain through the duration of our stay but looked an nice olde market town. Waitrose was good . Ate out at the Five Little Pigs which was clean and modern but food a bit too over complicated for my taste

    Beautiful picturesque part of England.

Beautiful picturesque part of England. Nice to get away from busy cities. We attended a World War 2 memorial service for LULU plane crash in Ipsden. Visit to Botley Cemetery where my uncle is buried with crew members. Four RAF, three RCAF. Would have enjoyed longer in Wallingford to explore the town.

The town and surrounding areas are a pleasure to visit.

The town and surrounding areas are a pleasure to visit. The town itself seems to have everything that is required for a relaxing weekend. We attended the Agatha Christie weekend and had a lovely time. Mollies restaurant offered a murder mystery evening which was well organised and the staff and actors of very high calibre. We also attended the Murder Mystery boat trip organised by the local council and this also was of a high standard. We also attended a talk on the history of the writer and visited the museum and a play put on by local children. All in all a very pleasurable experience. Definitely would recommend visiting Wallingford to anyone. We will making further visits in the future.

Nice market town next to the river. Offers a full range of shops, cafes and restaurants. We ate in the Old Post Office which was nicely laid out and served a wide selection of dishes. There are also a range of independent shops and walks along the river.

My room was what you would expect in a 4 star hotel. Everything else looked tied and outdated. On the 1st night the kitchen was closed due to the drains. There was nothing within walking distance so we had to order a Chinese from Justeat, but I have to say the breakfast was great and we did eat in the restaurant the second night and the food was great.

The hotel was excellent and the owner was brilliant. Carried my wife's heavy bag up the stairs for me and greeted us for breakfast in the morning. Gave us helpful advice on where to go and get a meal as we arrived late on a Bank Holiday and most places were closed for meals I would recommend this Hotel to everyone

Nice clean, comfortable room, good shower and all well decorated. The manual check-in was dead easy even if it is a bit weird not meeting the owner(s)/staff and the sister hotel is metres away across the road if needed. Very close proximity to the river, not more than 4 minutes. Plenty of eateries too.
