Park Plaza London Riverbank, hotel in London

Located on the south side of the River Thames, 650 metres from the London Underground, Park Plaza London Riverbank has free WiFi and air-conditioned rooms with flat-screen TVs.

I liked everything about this property. First of all, the view from the window is literally the same as in the picture. Whenever I entered the room, I went to the window to enjoy the view of Westminster Palace at any time of the day. Of course, an additional advantage is the location - in the very center of London, right next to the bus stop, from where you could get to, among others, directly to the Natural History Museum. Another advantage is the cleanliness of the room and its equipment - the room was cleaned every day even though we did not signal such a request. Very nice and competent staff. Another advantage for me was the need to book the gym and swimming pool in advance - thanks to this, they were not crowded and I could use them freely and not fight for every place. The booking process was also easy (it could be done in person or via the application). Another advantage of this facility is breakfast and a hotel restaurant. The breakfasts were very varied, full of vegetables and fruit, traditional dishes, all of the highest quality. Thanks to our stay in this place, we spent a wonderful long weekend, for which we are very grateful. Whenever we are in London, we will definitely stay here.

I can recommend minimum 2,5 - 3 full days. Please visit "The American Bar", it's a experience worth the money. Book the attractions from home, so you are sure to get in. For example London Eye and Sea Life. And London Eye with fasttrack - it's worth it!!

I have already shared opinions on London, so let me be brief this time. 1. Go experience it! It is a very clean, cosmopolitan city that is in many ways the birthplace and historical home of Western Civilization. 2. Walking is great, Underground is great, tourist busses are great, do not rent a car and drive. Traffic is a mess. 3. Find hotels near your points of interest. If you want theater, stay at Piccadilly. If you want history, stay as close to downtown as you can afford. If you want Football, pitches are everywhere. 4. It is expensive, but plan ahead of time to limit expenses. Once there focus on the experience, not the cost. 5. Get out into the countryside for a day if you can. 6. Have lots of smiles, and enjoy the day, pace of life is slower than places in US. 7. Go to pubs, eat fish and chips, and eat a real 'English Breakfast'. 8. Hit the museums. 9. Bring rain gear.

If you are an American, you need to go and spend at least a week there. there is everything you want to see and do in the city, or within a couple hour's drive of the city. It will take some adjustments to enjoy it: Do not drive, use the Underground or other mode of transport. Traffic is as bad or worse than NYC, Boston, or LA. Take your time, you will likely have long walks to places, and the pace for visitors, especially eating, is much different than in the US. There are major US chains in London, but eat local food in small shops and eateries. Finally, know ahead of time it is more expensive to stay and eat in London than the US. Accept it for what it is and immerse yourself in the city and its people.

London is a fast moving, bustling city with theatres round every corner and an abundance of places to eat to suit most budgets. We like to stay central and we have parks nearby. We love the place and always aim to be here close to my birthday. We were lucky to have a beautifully written birthday card, fresh fruit and a bottle of Prosecco in an ice bucket plus a room upgrade.

I have been here many times but this time we went on a Thames cruise to Greenwich, I would do it again it was fantastic but did not have enough time in Greenwich. We visited the shard for the afternoon it was fabulous, watched the sun go down, we spent 4 hours there. Last minute booking as had missed my last train home, normally I stay away from Kings Cross as an area as so many hotels are of very poor quality, however couldn't be bothered heading back into central London so took a chance on this. The price was so cheap it almost put me off! But what a pleasant surprise, my room was a good size, it was spotlessly clean, the bed was comfortable and the wifi was perfect. Absolutely nothing to dislike about this place and would happily stay again. For the price you will not find anything better in London.

Room is compact .. some would say too small perhaps, but for only 1 night it was perfectly fine. Room and bathroom was clean. Room was also perfectly quiet. Has a sweet little garden Although I did not have any, the breakfast looked nice but not many options. There are lots of options around this hotel for better breakfasts. Liverpool St is no more than 5 mins away and the new Elizabeth line means it's even more connected. If I need another stop over near the London office, will definitely consider staying here again.

I stay in London for work nearly every week and have been trying out many many different hotels and apartments, but this was by far the best. Really easy to get to, really friendly staff, gorgeous decor and the studio itself was very cool. Fab decor, everything I needed to cook for myself and eat at a proper table! It was also spotless and I could not hear any noise from the other rooms. Oh and the bed was SO comfortable. Nevermind one night...I could happily live there (and the bar was a real bonus).

Good home feel. Privacy & secure. The beds were comfy. Got the true feel of living in an English home.... something that is not possible had we stayed in the big-chain hotels. Bathrooms were great. Towel Heater was a heart-warming (& body warming) highlight feature of the master bath. Main doors had double locks making us feel secure. Top floor was classic English Guest Room with a sky-light. Good property that I would definitely stay when we come back to London.

    1. The place was perfect for our family. We like to stay in places where there is a lounging/living room area and a kitchen; hence the preference for apartments over hotels. Loved the layout - two floors, entrance per floor, luggage storage under the stairs). 2. Ease of check in and check out. 3. Clean and comfortable. 4. Very responsive support even if not onsite. 5. This is one of those small London hotels converted from apartments. So more a series of rooms than a normal 'hotel'. No dining, bar or leisure facilities. More a 'room for the night'. Hotels in London aren’t cheap. This was an acceptable price for what we got. We had a place to sleep of decent size and the bathroom was good.
