A lot of reviews say that room 3 is extremely small. In my opinion, it is not that small. It is big enough for a couple with luggage. The room is nicely decorated and the bathroom is modern. The cafe downstairs is also nicely done. It is in close proximity to everything you would want to see in Bath.
Nestled in 20 acres of the serene Somerset countryside, Homewood Bath is the ultimate staycation destination.

The staff was phenomenally helpful and friendly. That were very sweet in helping my fiancée and myself celebrate our engagement weekend. They truly made it special. The service was wonderful with drinks being delivered to you where ever you were on the property. Finally the food was delicious. You couldn’t go wrong with anything on the menu. While we didn’t have pets ourselves it was quite fun seeing dogs around! You truly couldn’t go wrong with a stay here.

Wonderful, World Heritage site Bath is an impressive mix of Georgian architecture and Roman legacy. Its most famous landmark is the fantastic, natural hot spring Roman Baths. Although everything above the pillar bases is from a later period, you still get an idea of its appearance in Roman times. Sadly you can’t bathe here, but across the street the rooftop pool at Thermae Bath Spa offers views of Bath Abbey and the surrounding hills.
Check out the stained-glass windows in the abbey, England’s last remaining Gothic church. Its square houses Pump Rooms dispensing hot spring water from the Roman baths.
Just behind, the Parade Gardens by the Avon River overlook Bath Rugby Club, the multi-level Pulteney Weir and registered historic Pulteney Bridge, lined with shops. Other Bath shopping options include Southgate Shopping Centre, the bohemian Walcot Street market, and brand-name stores on Milsom and George streets.
North is The Circus, a circular square lined with Georgian townhouses, only marginally less impressive than the Royal Crescent down the road. You can now visit number 1 Royal Crescent, restored to its 18th-century glory.
Before heading to Bristol Airport from your Bath hotel, take time to try the famous Sally Lunn Bun and stop at the pleasant pubs along the Kennet and Avon Canal.

The cultural buzz - live music, street art, the history and all the things to do. I can't wait to go back!! The Toulouse Lautrec and Master of Monmarte show was amazing. And there are so many fantastic places to eat and little streets to explore. Also, the American Museum and Garden is worth a visit!!

It’s a beautiful walkable city, with history, great views, green spaces and corners to explore. Also a wide range of shops and restaurants and a good buzz about it. Enjoyed a walk over Pulteney Bridge to Holbourne Museum then along canal back to town and followed river.

Cozy and compact historic city with lots of atmosphere.
Cozy and compact historic city with lots of atmosphere. Very lively in terms of activities, entertainment and food options. What we missed was a multi-operator tourist public transport ticket option that saves you the hassle of studying the ticketing system in depth.

Bath is a beautiful city, with many historic buildings.
Bath is a beautiful city, with many historic buildings. In addition, the local people were so friendly and helpful, and made us feel very welcome wherever we went. There are many food and drink outlets, music venues, cultural opportunities, including theatre, music, galleries, parks and antiques we were left wanting more! It is easy to walk around Bath, although less active people may find the ups and downs of the streets a challenge. However this is a city surrounded by hills and many lovely walks so it should be clear that hills and inclines are part of the scenery. Parking is at a premium due to the nature of the evolution of the city, and we used the Just Park App, and parked on someone's drive. We felt very comfortable that the car would be safe. The Infinity Pool at the Thermae Spa is everything it looks on the ads and a must visit for us next time too. Can't wait to go again.

Fantastic vibe yet calm .
Fantastic vibe yet calm . Turn busy corners then quiet ones so many restaurants and cafes to choose from. Bars shope galore. Banks. Transport. Good boat trip on the river Avon. Friendly people. Lots of places of worship. Yummy choices of icecream places. Very quaint. Thermae baths must to do...lovely roman discoveries limestone buildings...very talented buskers. Loved it
It was pricier than what we'd normally pay for a hotel, but having seen the reviews and photos online, we decided to book anyway. I can honestly say it was the best hotel we've every stayed at. The central location was perfect - close to Bath Abbey, the Roman Baths, the Pump Room, Pulteney Bridge and the shops. The building itself is really quaint and situated next door to the famous Sally Lunn Tea Rooms. Our room was beautifully decorated and had ample space. The staff were very welcoming and breakfast was really good also.
Lovely location on the outskirts of Bath situated right on the bank of the river Avon. Although not visible to the hotel it is directly adjacent to a Park and Ride which gives easy, quick and cheap bus service to the centre of Bath every 15 minutes.
Room 5 was very spacious with a large private balcony. The heating was particularly effective so the room was very warm for our winter stay.
All of the staff were very friendly and helpful and all of the meals we had, particularly the Sunday roast, were excellent.
This hotel is very good, very well decorated with very professional staff. The room was a good size and had air conditioning,
However one of the best things about this hotel, is the Spa Baths, they really are superb.
The breakfast was first class, as was the service, very pleased.
Their restaurant was closed for dinner, due to staff shortages, but there are so many restaurants in Bath to choose from this was not a problem.
Over all, excellent. Would most definitely return.
The room was great. Spacious, clean, well presented and a large well done bathroom. Steve was really friendly and helpful; offering advice on places to go and the best ways to get there.
The location was great for exploring Bath. It was close enough to the city centre for my (6 month pregnant) wife and I to comfortably walk to and from. But it was far enough out to be quiet in the night.
The breakfast options was a good selection.
A great base for exploring Bath.
We loved the location. We were able to walk up to the hotel from the train station. It was a beautiful hotel in a perfect historic location. We were able to walk to town and visit different sites such as the Abbey and the Roman Baths. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast food which we did have to pay for was good and very reasonably priced.
Very good location. Easy walk to/from the train station, and to the Roman Bath area, plenty of restaurants in the area and the room was modern, clean and quiet, while a little on the small side, it was fine. The bathroom too was clean and reasonable size with a good size shower. The hotel provided a very good buffet breakfast, included in the room price.
THIS is what a hotel should be. Wonderful staff, clean, comfortable rooms, every amenity you can think of. Just a five minute walk to either the train station or central Bath. The best hotel of my entire two week trip. Other hotels should take lessons from the Indigo on how to run and equip a hotel. Ten stars all around for this gem of a hotel.
Perfect hotel in great location, about 10 min walk to most of the popular attractions/ city centre.
Very clean and cosy room.
Tasty fresh breakfast served by chefs.
Great atmosphere, lovely and helpful staff. Thank you to Magdalena for giving us some tips how to make the best of Bath and for making our stay special ❤️
Very well located hotel close to the centre of Bath and sites such as the Royal Crescent and Circus. Breakfast was very good with wide variety of options to choose from. Staff helpful nd courteous. Room has very good facilities and the hotel was very clean throughout. We would definitely stay in the Francis hotel again.
Upon arrival we were greeted kindly and shown to our room the hotel staff member was amazing and exceeded our expections! The room was spacious and very clean! Free parking and a perfect location from the city centre would 100 percent recommend and will definitely be booking again when we next visit bath!:)
train station just across the road Tim on reception was very helpfull if you want a breakfast in the hotel it is best to do it when booking your room as they only have limited space but plenty of bars and restaurants but not cheap best place for a breakfast is Bills Place in centre of the town
We absolutely loved it his hotel! Great location, good size room and bed! The staff were brilliant and couldn't have been more accommodating. Our first time in Bath and I couldn't have gone better thanks to Apex Hotel.
Biggest bonus: the pool is very lush!
Busy city centre chain hotel, great location for visiting Bath. Our family room was on the smaller side, but well finished, beds comfortable and nice shower. Good quality breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend to stay there.
The hotel is very nicely decorated, the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was brilliant. The staff were also very welcoming and helpful. The location is also great for quick and easy access to Bath city centre.
The room was very spacious with elegant decor. The bathroom was spotless and huge. Jeremy could not have been nicer. He showed us around the hotel and helped us with our luggage. We were very comfortable.
Perfect location for a stay in Bath as within walking distance of the City Centre. Staff were very friendly. Communication excellent from the hotel before the stay. Excellent breakfast. Highly recommend.
