We had 2 nights in Pisa and it would have been easy to do another night. All the blogs we read said once you’ve done the square of miracles there’s nothing else to do ! This wasn’t the case for us at all and I personally think Pisa is very underrated. We found the best coffee shop that served perfect cappuccinos called Filter coffee Lab, wonderful restaurants ,nice parks to walk through ,and enjoyed strolling on corso Italia Visiting the square of miracles at night when the crowds had disappeared was truly wonderful ,as was walking along the river with its grand buildings lining either side. All in all a great place to visit for a couple of days.

The Pisa Piazza where the Bastile and the leaning tower are located is charming. Does get busy during the summer months. Recommend that you use the QR code on the signs around the Square to book a time for the entrance to the tower with the entrance to the Cathedral, or do this online prior to arrival in central Pisa. I liked Pisa better than Florence.
I liked Pisa better than Florence. Unfortunately Florence was full of tourists at this time of year which detracted from the experience. Pisa was chilled and you could organise trips by bus or train from the main station. We really enjoyed our stay in Italy. Great people great food great experience.

The Hotel Verdi was just okay except no AC. For my wife n I, that’s a big problem. However, it was safe close to the Pisa tower but a bit too far from the train station only when you’re carrying luggage. Pisa is a must visit city, iconic! Feels out of a movie when see the famous landmarks! However do think Pisa is more of a day trip than a weekend one. Had 3 days booked in Pisa, but only spent one day here. Good transport to other cities as managed to visit Florence and Lucca. It was fantastic.
It was fantastic. Other tourists were respectful which were encouraging. The restaurants and cafes are too close to the crowd place itself though. Crowd control might make it a better experience but overall it was pleasant. It is easy to get around and I used both google map and applemap but the locals are very helpful too. I ate at a nearby place but it’s cheaper elsewhere. I’d avoid peak time and would visit early morning like 8 or 9 am. Still, Highly recommended!marieAustralia
