This is a bed and breakfast in the truest sense of the word. We were greeted warmly with coffee and sweets. The room was comfortable and immaculately clean. We chose to pay extra for the addition of dinner, lovingly prepared and served by the host. Everything fresh and locally sourced. Highly recommend if you’re looking for an authentic local experience in the company of one of the loveliest people you will meet during your travels in Sicilia. Breakfast was above and beyond anything you can imagine. We will be back.

Agriturismo Bannata, hotel in Piazza Armerina

Set in the Ronza Natural Park in Sicily’s countryside, Agriturismo Bannata features an on-site farm producing olive oil, almonds and cereals.

As soon as we arrived here in late September, we wished we had booked for a longer stay. We had a room for our family of 3 but there were no cancellations for the following day although we kept checking. As others have remarked, this is an exquisite place and such a lovely respite which was so welcome after several weeks of traveling. Our room was very comfortable, all in the bathroom worked very well, our breakfast and dinner were delicious. I would really recommend that you stay longer than a single night. It is so worth it.

Quiet contemporary home with lovely grounds. Comfortable, firm beds. The breakfast! Host permitted us to make sandwich for lunch that was very helpful as restaurants sparse where we traveled that day in the spectacular mountains (San Biagio Plantini). You need small car- will be less limiting. Beautiful grounds!

The room was great and a good location for what I I was doing. The room was very comfortable and unique. I had lots of choices close by for eating. Parking was a short distance away, and I opted to pay for the parking to ensure I could leave the car there for two days. Cost was negligible. Excellent room and very helpful host.

    The Romana Casale was terrific.

The Romana Casale was terrific. Better than we might have imagined. It is slightly outside of the town. The town was difficult to navigate--the narrowest streets we have experienced, and you must climb straight up to reach open restaurants, near as we can tell. It is likely different during high season, with more things open.

The city has a particular charm very different from the towns in the Val de Noto we visited and one has a much stronger sense of thousands (!) of years of continual living and history. Make sure to visit the Villa Romana del Casale, fantastic!

    Incredible historical area.

Incredible historical area. So many ancient temples in one place with detailed information posted throughout the site. Take a hat, water bottle, sunscreen, and wear comfortable shoes. It is easy to get around though not always on even ground. Easy to park at either entrance, allow at least 2 1/2 to 3 hours. There is also a cafe on site.

Piazza Armerina, the incredible Roman villa and mosaics was a highlight of our 12 days in Sicily. and absolute 'must' but recommend that you see the INCREDIBLE mosaics at opening or near closing time so you are not hemmed in by busloads of people and explanations from Babylon. (I speak many languages, but not all at once!) The town itself was very nice as well. Cute terraces, little park, beautiful historic buildings and little cobblestone streets. Ample (paid, inexpensive) parking everywhere. (Regarding the B&B: the 2nd 'B' is supposed to refer to 'breakfast'. There was absolutely nothing! Many places in Sicily had a Q-code or such so you could go and have breakfast somewhere. A cute idea if you're not one who needs that 1st coup of coffee at rising, but this should be noted in the description prior to payment!)

The room is in big private house on a hill overlooking Piazza Armerina. It is easy to reach the house from the main road and also to get to the center of the town. Magnificent view of the town. Great breakfast in a the large dining room with fine old furniture and a big table with a lot of food. Large windows to the view of the town and large balcony. Guests eat together in a familiar atmosphere. Luciano is a very friendly host . Parking is in the garden of the house or just near the gate - safe place. I recommend this place.

This is an exceptional property. The owners and hosts are just wonderful people. Their names are Roberto and Nikki, and they could not have been nicer, nor more accommodating to anything that we would need. Especially ask Roberto to set up a lunch for you in the town. The room was spotlessly clean and just exceptionally comfortable. There is a sitting area outside. Where are you? Have a great view of the city. The breakfast that Nikki and Roberto’s prepared was the best we have had on our trip to Sicily.

CHARMING! the most charming and creatively designed property we have stayed at it. it was matched only by the incredible graciousness of its owner. He not only met us to help us park our car, but carried our luggage to the property and up the stairs. He was also so helpful in recommending nearby restaurants and other information. The breakfast was amazing with so many delicious choices. it was a totally delightful stay and we cannot say enough great things about the owner and his property.

It was an unforgettable stay in Armerina. La Casetta is romantic accommodation right in the heart of the historic city. We fully recommend stay at this cozy house, walk through the night streets, discover the hidden treasures of the city and just enjoy the Genius loci of this place. Thanks Massimo for a warm welcome and useful tips for visiting the city and other places in Sicily (In English - what is not so common on the island). I would sum it up in one word - just LOVELY ❤️

Excellent B&B with modern accommodation and central location in the centre of the town. Very friendly host, who guided us to the nearby free parking, only 3 mins walking from the facility. He also gives free of charge a free degustation invitation but unfortunately we were too tired to make use of it. Breakfast is very copious and with various menus you can choose from. Although the location is in the center it is absolutely quite. Highly recommended! 👍🙏

It was a perfect oasis in the backstreets of this truly Sicilian town. The B&B is beautifully decorated and our rooms were well laid out and sparkling clean. Our host was charming and helpful. Breakfast was delicious with lots of homemade options. Piazza Armerina is perfectly located for a stopover after visiting the mosaics at the Villa Romana del Casale and Giardino delle Zagare is one of those unexpected delights what we will remember for years.

La Casa Sulla Collina d’Oro is a little rustic and may not be for everyone. But it was perfect for us. Luciano was a wonderful host - charming, attentive and very helpful. The view over the town of Piazza Armerina was lovely. Breakfast included a wide selection and was served around large tables with a beautiful view. The accommodation was well located, close to town and just a short drive to Villa Casale. I can highly recommend.

Three reasons to visit Italy; the people, the food and the wine! This had all three. The owners were warm and friendly offering coffee and homemade sweets upon our arrival. A little difficult to find parking but when called they quickly arrived to help us. We had booked dinner for our stay and it was amazing, not only delicious and plentiful but made with love. Truly incredible.

Incredibly nice people. They were super-attentive and made every effort to make me feel comfortable. Amazing service. The rooms are brand new, and very big, with AC, TV and a great shower. All very clean. They gave me free bottles of water. Great location to explore the Roman villa del Casale, as well as Piazza Armerina. Free parking.

The place is well located at the beginning of the historic city center. Is super quiet and you can find free parking nearby. You will find a kettle with some tea options. The posters that decorate the room are really cool. The owner was super kind since we arrived after check-in time and we could do most of the staff remotely.
