I know some people are a little shocked at the room sizes, but as a solo traveler who only really needs the bare minimum, it was ok to me. Plus, it was probably the most comfortable bed I had slept in the month I was in Japan. The location was great! It is close to metro lines and easy to get to and from Narita airport. The area is much more relaxed than other more touristy cities in Tokyo, but there's still really yummy food and walkable activities. The room was cleaned on the third day, which was great, and clean towels and amenity refills were provided daily. I will definitely look to stay here again on my next trip!

The capital of Japan, Tokyo is a vast, teeming metropolis nestled between mountains and Tokyo Bay. It’s so huge that you’ll have to come to grips with public transport and maybe even experience being pushed onto a train. Yes, it does actually happen!
Get your bearings by ascending the Tokyo World Trade Center near the waterfront, and savor the fantastic views taking in the red-and-white Tokyo Tower and Shinkuju’s skyscrapers. North is Ueno, home to the best museums (including the Tokyo National Museum) and a large park bursting with cherry blossom in spring.
Equally tranquil are the Chiyoda Imperial Palace and Gardens, surrounded by water. Also in gardens is the Meiji Jingu Shinto shrine in Shibuya, a youthful district where neon abounds.
For more traditional Japanese culture, head to Asakusa whose Sensō-ji Buddhist temple is Tokyo’s oldest temple. Outdoor markets sell a variety of wares, though shopping in Tokyo is, of course, fantastic wherever you go.
Whether you stay in a Japanese ryokan, luxury Tokyo hotel or a hostel, don’t fly out of Tokyo Narita Airport or Haneda Airport without having tried sushi. Another Japanese institution is the sento (public bath) and onsen (hot springs bath) – a must try. Also incredibly popular are Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, Asia’s 2 most visited theme parks.

Tokyo is a HUGE city, but with very good public transport opportunities. Public transport is not very handicap accesible (lots of stairs and elevators few and far between). The city has something for everyone, culture, history, beauty, food, theaters, museums, friendliness, cleanliness, charm, sports, entertainment, electrical gadgets/robots, towers, teamlab, old houses, temples, shrines, adventures.... EVERYTHING! I am a foodie, and this place was amazing!! No bad dish to be had.....

Tokyo is a great city and has lots to do...but it a HUGE city and I prefer something more rural! Big buildings everywhere, need to go to other areas of the city to find parks and enjoy the outdoors. There can be tons of people and the lights, sounds and colours are overwhelming on the streets and in the stores. Need to do your homework to plan for what you want! Lots of options, just plan and know your stuff before you go!

I didn't even want to leave, and wish I would've extended my trip. The people here are so respectful, the public transportation is the most efficient I've ever ridden, the culture is very in both food and values, and the areas all seem built around the natural environment. I was able to take the bullet train from my hotel in Meguro, to Osaka for a Universal Studios trip, and back in the same day. That's roughly a 450 mile trip there and back plus a theme park. To me it's a beautiful blend of the modern world and nature just being out there. I plan on moving or retiring here. I loved going to different hole in the wall restaurants that were pretty well known, my favorite being Ichiran Ramen near Shibuya Crossing. The only thing I would avoid is trying to do too much in 1 week, as I walked 35 miles at the end of a 9 day trip. But I barely scratched the surface of all Tokyo has to offer, let alone Japan as a whole. I'll be making another trip this winter.

There are so many things to do and everything is quite spaced out. Choose what you want to do, find out where they are locates and try do a loop rather than back and forward. Food is sooooo cheap. Google maps is your best friend when it comes to navigating what trains you need to catch.

Love this city. There were so sooo much to explore.
Love this city. There were so sooo much to explore. Apart from having stunning landmark spots like Sensoji temple, major shopping districts like Shinjuku and Shibuya, there are so many more hidden gems. I recommend checking out Shimokitazawa, Daikanyama and Ueno as well. Although the city is EXTREMELY busy, transportation is easy with the help of Google maps. Language might be a barrier, but to be honest, I find that to be the charm of Japan
The hotel is a 10-12 minute walk from Shinjuku station, in a nice leafy neighbourhood. There's a great park opposite. A taxi from Shinjuku station is about 900yen. It has a great bakery and bar downstairs, helpful staff, 3 fast lifts and a great area on the second floor to eat and drink. The rooms were pretty spacious with a desk and chair. Check in was easy and they sorted out a taxi to the airport in the early hours which was on time and reliable. Overall, great and felt like a somewhat peaceful retreat after a busy day in Tokyo.
It is located very near the Shinjuku New South Gate exit. The Yamamoto line is accessible from there. My husband and I had an easy time going to the tourist spots in Tokyo because of this. The airport limousine also picks up and drops passengers in front of the hotel. So location is perfect. The breakfast buffet is also very good - coffee was good;’tea was plenty. There also very good restaurants near it and not necessarily Japanese. Also Family Mart. All in all, the hotel was perfect for new visitors like us.
The location of this hotel is in a small neighbourhood full of restaurants and shops.
Straight out the door and amongst it all. Absolutely loved it.
The staff at the front desk are fabulous, they stand and greet you every time you come in and out (if not busy with others). Very helpful answering questions.
Close to train stations and only a few stops from main hubs like Shinjuku and Shibuya.
We stayed 5 nights here and would definitely stay again.
Price was reasonable, and room was generous sizing for Tokyo.
A good place to stay overall for someone looking the more quieter side of Tokyo and not in a noisy environment like Shibuya or Shinjuku. This hotel also does give a good vibe idea how living Japan as a local would be. The location for getting public transportation and moving around the city is also a few minutes close. For those trying to be close to a touristy spot like Akihabara, this hotel does a good job offering that. A few minutes walk to the public trains which makes this hotel a good base to stay
Akasaka is a brilliant place to stay. Beautiful little area of Tokyo that has a convenient subway station down the street and fantastic restaurants and bars etc. We liked that it had everything we needed but it was quieter but with great access to the nearby hotshots of Shibuya and Shinjuku. This hotel is modern and clean and the staff were lovely. Loved the pyjama's and it was well priced in comparison to other similar hotels in Japan. We would stay again.
The rooms were surprisingly big given Tokyo hotels are pretty compact. The hotel was 5 mins away from the train station. There were restaurants outside including Denny's and convenience stores were 2-3 mins away. The staff were nice and some even spoke fluent English.
Another nice thing was this spot in Ginza was not as crowded and busy compared to places like Shibuya, Shinjuku, etc. The train station nearby also was not as crowded.
My husband and I booked this hotel for our honeymoon. Location was excellent and very near to Nihonbashi metro station as well as Tokyo station, making it convenient to transport our luggages to take the Shinkansen and Narita express. There were a few convenience stores nearby thus is was easy buy foods/snacks for breakfast/supper. As a nice gesture, they even provided complimentary sparkling sake as we were on our honeymoon!
The room was huge by Tokyo standards. It was very clean, the toilet separated from the shower/bath is convenient and the tub is big.
The location is very convenient, also there is a 24 hour family mart on the corner and a Lawson one block away. There is a cafe/restaurant and block away and you are very close to all the new Shibuya station hotels and restaurants. The washer and dryer in the unit made it easy to travel light.
We stayed in the private room with bathroom and balcony and it was great. Lots of natural light and space to spread out (relative to other Tokyo hotels). Breakfast was nice and my husband made reservations in the sauna run on the first floor two days in a row because he enjoyed it so much! The neighborhood is very unique with lots of cafes and European influences - I’m glad we got to check it out!
Location was amazing! 30 minute walk from either Shinjuku or Shibuya, 10 minutes away from the national gardens, right next to the baseball stadium and 15 minutes for Meiji Shrine. It was also right next to a station.
You also get views of mount Fuji on a clear day from the roof terrace which was a wonderful bonus.
Such great value for money in comparison to other hotel prices in Tokyo.
Perfect location for enjoying Sakura as the hotel grounds had beautiful gardens, water features, lit up trees and decoration for the Sakura season. It was so stunning - both on the ground level and view from the rooms.
Location is a bit far from the main busy areas of Shinjuku abd Shibuya but easy to get to thr train and go any which direction.
Japanese breakfast buffet was lovely too.
The hotel, rooms, and amenities are fantastic and the bakery downstairs makes delicious sandwiches and pastries. There is a rooftop terrace which provides nice views of the national stadium and Tokyo skyline. The location is quiet with access to nearby parks and gardens. The train station is very close and provides quick access to get around Tokyo due to the hotels central location.
We traveled with a 4 year old who loved the kids playing in the park of an afternoon. Language barriers don’t worry kids. The hotel was well placed in a quiet neighbourhood and extremely easy access to the Red line with 1 stop to Main Shinjuku station. Property was clean and well prepped with items such as coffee, slippers, tooth brush etc
great places to stay in SHIBUYA, just 5-7 minutes walk to Shibuya Crossing and Shibuya Station; the room is super clean and the bed are comfy for a long day strolling in Tokyo. The drinking water are free to refill and you can do your laundry as well, Great Job All Day Shibuya for new comers hotels since 2021
I like the location of the hotel short walking distance from the train stations (Keisei-Ueno and Ueno station). Easy to catch a train to Narita airport and other major cities such as Akihabara, Shinjuku, and Shibuya without rushing. I love the carpet floor room and the super clean bathroom.
Authentic Tokyo experience. TV was equipped with Amazon Prime and Netflix (for some reason hotels don’t have that). The host also was kind enough to give us a personal tour around Shinjuku to show us some spots we missed on our last visit here.
Male only capsule hotel right next to Shinjuku station. Can't get any better ! Lots of food and drink options nearby. The hotel is a good clean safe place. Perfect for a night or many.
It's so cheap. It's nice to stay to in capsule hotels like this because you wouldn't have to be lying down all day. This will force you to check out all the tourist spots in Tokyo.
Great location near to Shinjuku station. The hotel has many facilities including multiple restaurants, shops etc. Rooms are good but compact, as per most other Tokyo hotels
