Along the Douro river is the partymile. That's where things are happening. Streetmusic, sitting at the riverside sipping a glas or two of 'Mateus' and watching Tourists was what I enjoined but I guess the stroll along the Douro river is much more fun after sunset which I did not have the opportunity to check. Nothing there for Families except the Boat tour on the river.

Porto is a charming City with a gorgeous river front.
Porto is a charming City with a gorgeous river front. We loved the live street music , street markets and food . Our Duro Valley coach/boat trip was really entertaining and our sunset sailboat cruise was special. Some of the city views especially from high on the bridges are really spectacular.
On a negative , Porto seems overflowing and over crowded with tourists . The city was noisy with lots of road and building works in progress . Parts of the City are beautiful but quite a lot is run down and unattractive.

Great friendly city, plenty of good restaurants and bars.
Great friendly city, plenty of good restaurants and bars. Lots to do and easily accessible. Some fantastic places for breakfast - Cafe Do Norte/Garden Porto Cafe/Cafe Negra. Public transport was very good. Feels like a safe and comfortable city to visit. Quite hilly, so take good shoes! But worth stretching your legs to enjoy the city fully.

Despite Porto being rather hilly, there are many sights in close proximity and easily accessible on foot. We loved soaking in the culture and atmosphere of Porto as we interacted with local people, walked around and explored the neighborhoods, churches, the fabulous architecture and amazing tiles on walls and pavements and marvelled at history told in tile art, such as at Sao Bento station. We loved trying traditional food like the sublime Pasteis de nata, the filling francesinha and fresh seafood and we visited the local market and little local restaurants. We did a tour to beautiful viewpoints like the monastery, we strolled along the scenic Douro River and had delicious fish soup at the beachfront. Livraria Lello was also a highlight. You can see a lot in two days, but we wished we could stay longer in Porto!
Everything was perfect. It was the best hotel that I stayed in during my two-weeks holiday in Portugal. As other reviewers have mentioned, the beds are super comfortable. The location is right in the centre of Porto, within walkable distance to the main attractions. Some of Porto's best restaurants are around this hotel as well.
The breakfast buffet was amazing, with berries, smoothies, tasty pastries and cakes. Everything was fresh and tasty.
Special thanks to staff members for being friendly and nice.
It was my favourite Stay on our trip through Portugal! It felt like an Oasis in the middle of the city, and when you're at the Hotel you can't really believe how close you actually are to the city centre. The garden and the pool really gave it a very special and calm vibe. The staff was also very nice and super helpful and made us feel very welcome.
There's a wine bar right outside the venue with excellent wines and a cool atmosphere.
I would definitely return and recommend this place 100%.
The situation was a little bit unusual because I rent the room just per one night to a old guy I don't knew... Hey just needed somewhere to stay till his medical appointments in the other day (Mr. Luis is from Bragança, a far away village from Portugal). It was Sunday, everywhere we tried was already full then I booked this room.
The staff is very nice and don't discriminated the old guy (what I was afraid about). Nice room, very clean and very well lighted!
I truly recommend! :)
The apartment was very spacious and comfortable. It was impeccably clean. Proximity to the city center was convenient via metro and Uber. The staff were pleasant and helpful. It was nice that our beds were made every day and that the trash was cleared. Good parking facilities for a reasonable fee. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay. It was one of the best places we stayed in during our visit to Portugal. We would definitely stay there again.
Great apartment with air conditioning, which was super helpful in the hot Portugal summer. Beds were comfortable and there was a small kitchen (which we did not really use so can’t comment on its utility). Location is great, some breweries and good pizza place very close by. Close to the Trinidade metro station too. Friendly and flexible host. As an fyi, the tourist tax needs to be paid in Euros and not credit card.
The staff was very nice and ready to help. We enjoyed very much our stay in this hotel - very clean. It's the best stay we have had ever in Portugal. Near the hotel, we found the best places for the famous Francesinha /Cafe Santiago/ and cachorrinho /Gazela Cachorrinhos/ - you should be prepared to wait in line to get in there. Cafe Magestic is also nearby.
This hotel was the highlight of our 2 week trip to Portugal. There are not enough words to truly express our fabulous experience at this hotel. From the moment of check-in to departure.Perfect in every way. We had a last minute air cancellation back to US and the night receptionists found flights for us, when Viking was unavailable.
It was the best experience in Portugal so far.
We liked everything. The hotel is just a magnificent place, the room is soo stylish and big.
We had a little kitchenette with a coffee machine.
The breakfast was great.
The staff here is super friendly. Thanks to Diana and the lady who is usually near the dining area.
Me and my wife were visiting Portugal and Spain for our 25th anniversary. Porto was part of our itinerary. We stayed at Eurostar for 2 nights. This is a fantastic place. It has nicely renovated rooms, central location and very friendly and hospitable staff. They have spa included in the price of the room.
The concept is unique for me as it was my first time
in such hotel. Loved the design and how it looks overall. Not far from center. You can easily walk there or use a taxi (it’s pretty cheap in Portugal).
The breakfast is ok. As a person who have something sweet and coffee more than enough.
FLH is our new favorite hotel chain in Portugal! Each one we've stayed in has been perfectly located, clean, well-appointed, quiet (despite traffic or pedestrians outside) with friendly, knowledgable staff and a delicious full breakfast. We highly recommend it!
Location was very central, the host was absolutely lovely. We also liked the furnishing and nice touches like beautiful handmade plates from Portugal in the bathroom and kitchen. The room was also very clean and stylish - comfy bed.
This is a brand new hotel in a 16th Century building. The hotel is beautifully restored and charming. It opened in May 2023,
So taxis don't know it. Great in-house restaurant. Best hotel I've stayed in while in Portugal!
loved the time in Sintra after the crowds were gone. felt like a local. owner very responsive and helpful. liked having a washer and clothesline since we were halfway though our time traveling in Portugal.
Good location, friendly staff. Buffet breakfast (including made-to-order eggs if desired) was excellent. Best shower we had in the five hotels we stayed at in Portugal.
My birthday fell during our stay and on their own the staff delivered champagne and dessert to our room. Breakfast was the best we had in any hotel in Portugal.
