Very beautiful ,attractive and a busy city, panoramically situated on the steep slopes above the ocean, full of natural ,historical and cultural tourist attaractions ,Great food, restaurants ,bars and cafes !Friendly local people ,nice bus, Uber and Bolt drivers. The location was lovely if you like peace and quiet, we knew the location so we’re not too bothered that there is nothing to do in the evenings, most of the cafes close and is difficult to find somewhere to eat for dinner if you don’t stay in the hotel. We loved the cuisine & wines of Madeira, the beautiful City of Funchal, a 4WD tour of the Island and many things to see and do. Portuguese people are so friendly and welcoming. A very memorable trip.
