The best hotel I’ve stayed at in Vietnam. Excellent location, magnificent rooms, clean and pleasant. But I especially want to mention the hotel staff. Everyone is incredibly polite and pleasant, making you feel at home. Even if any problem arises, they solve it instantly in the best possible way. I stayed there twice and didn’t want to leave each time.

We used Hanoi Media as a base camp over our weeklong stay in Hanoi and for storing our luggage when we did overnight trips to SaPa and Halong Bay.
As a family, we booked the Family Suite which was a perfect size. The breakfast upstairs was wonderful and they made special Western food on request. The staff members were the best, so kind and warm hearted, we took a group picture when we left.
The location is one block away from the lake, convenient to everything and very clean and detailed. We got a 10% discount in the spa which was convenient having it is the same place.

The people are warm and friendly but walking around the city is difficult and tiresome due to the footpaths being full of motorcycles and street venders, and the non stop traffic and its honking horns.

Hanoi is a vibrant bustling city with great food, shopping and of course plenty of culture to immerse yourself in. The locals were friendly, helpful and offered plenty of smiles and hello's. A great location from which to see all the jewels of Northern Vietnam. The cuisine is a smorgasbord of pretty much anything you could ask for especially at night when the streets are crammed with tables, DJs and spruikers, quite a fun spectacle!

Hanoi's streets are narrow and busy.
Hanoi's streets are narrow and busy. Footpaths are non-existent and where they do you cannot usually walk on them because cars and mostly motorbikes are parked on them, or locals are sitting down eating, working or whatever. The city's tourist sights are really interesting, such as the Mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh and its museum. There are many other interesting sights, such as the Hoa Lo Prison, the Temple of Literature, several Pagodas and others. All these sights are must-see and we are glad we did. They charge very low entry fees, or no fees at all (like the Pagodas which are free), and are full of interesting information. Do not trust the taxi drivers because most are out to scam you and we experienced that. It is best to get a Grab taxi if you have the app which can be very helpful. Grab taxis are much cheaper and more reliable. There are some good restaurants but you have to have a taste for the local cuisine. We had been told about the local "street food", but what we saw we did not trust and did not touch. If you have a restaurant recommendation perhaps you should go with that. ATMs are rare but they exist and charge extra fees for withdrawals! Generally people are friendly and can be very helpful. We did not feel threatened but were very mindful of the chaotic traffic! Look everywhere before taking a step! Traffic lights are there for show. No one takes them seriously nor obeys them, particularly the drivers. Pedestrians often gamble with their lives when crossing a street.

Hanoi is a vibrant, culturally rich city!
Hanoi is a vibrant, culturally rich city! There is so much to do and see. The people are helpful and friendly. Highlights were the Hanoi prison, train street, the old quarter, the lake, Japanese gardens, the Note cafe! Would recommend a day trip to Nim Binh from Hanoi!
The hotel is set in the old quarter and is conveniently situated for visits to this and the French quarter. The breakfast was very good. The whole hotel is exceptionally clean and most of the staff are more than attentive ..reception staff are so helpful as are the bell boys .. my taxi to the airport was late as it had been given the wrong address by the dispatcher.. this was nothing to do with the hotel but about 4 staff helped me and resolved the situation.. they were truly exceptional and kind ..it’s a great base for exploring Hanoi.
Nice large rooms with large comfortable beds are the main plus of this nice hotel just outside of the Old Quarter. Staff is absolutely lovely. Laundry is excellent and cheap so if you need it on vacation this is the place to do it. About as quiet a place as you can find while being close to all the action. Also nice to come back to a place where the air is clean after wading through the air pollution in Hanoi. Make sure to explore the French Quarter behind the hotel, a bit less busy but still with great local food options.
The staff at this hotel are fantastic. There is nothing too difficult for them. Binh the manager takes the time to engage regularly with all guests ensuring that their stay in Hanoi is the best possible.
Hannah & Tony at reception are also outstanding staff members. The young doorman and concierge staff are just as incredible. The door is opened by them every time a guest gets close to it. Just incredible!!
The hotel is in the heartbeat of the old quarter yet once inside it’s very quiet.
Rooms are neat & tidy.
One of the best hotel buffet breakfasts I've enjoyed. Great choice across Western and Eastern type foods, with attention to detail, gorgeously designed and presented. Room was relatively quiet, place towards the side/back of the hotel, surprising as it's on a noisy street. Staff always greeted us, helped obtain a reasonably priced taxi back to Hanoi airport. Excellent location in the Old Quarter, easy to walk to lots of attractions and spoiled for choice with the number of restaurants nearby.
The hotel is fantastic. Our room had a small window and this is a luxury in Hanoi old quarter. The location is perfect, the room was super clean and QUIET, the bed really comfy and the staff was welcoming. Special mention to Justin who made us feel super special. The lady at the reception gave us the best recommendation for Bun Cha. Unfortunaly we couldn't have breakfast because we left too early, and the staff made sure that we had some food to take away. Just brilliant.
The location is the best aspect of this hotel, and for that price, is just excellent. Right in the heart of the old quarter, just a block away from the lake and some of the best food spots in Hanoi. Most of the staff were very helpful and friendly, wanting to go above and beyond for us to have a great experience. They are as lovely as they come. The room is comfortable enough for a sleep and take a shower, so the price was fine.
This hotel couldn't be better it's in a perfect location in the old quarter and the rooms are a good size and spotlessly clean.I have stayed in hotels all over the world but the staff here are by far the nicest and most attentive. I would not hesitate to stay here again. The tours they arranged for us were also top class! 5 star service in the Hanoi Lheritage Diamond Hotel we will be back as soon as we can!

We stayed for 3 nights during our trip in Hanoi and I would say this is one of the best properties to stay at old quarter. The staff was very friendly and even arranged the room early for us as we arrived early. The hotel is nearby to almost all places in the old quarter. The breakfast spread was nice and staff delivered everything we asked for. Would love to stay here again!!!
We have traveled Asia for 2 months and the staff at San Boutique are some of the best encountered. Always friendly and eager to help. The hotel was top notch, particularly the location in the heart of Old Quarter Hanoi. We walked to most all destinations. The breakfast was great and rooms comfortable. This hotel is a a little gem and we highly recommend it to any traveler.
Best possible location in Hanoi Old Quarter, everything is walking distance and highly recommended hotel. Value for money and they can arrange all sort of day trips and good airport drop off service. Stuffs are really friendly and speak English. clean rooms and wash room, they were doing very neat room service. Lot of coffee shops around and breakfast places.
Everything, the breakfast buffet is good have lots of varieties everyday, the location is the best, we can walk around old quarter and still find everything near the hotel. The staff are very nice, they also help us a lot especially in booking our transfers. I highly recommended this to my friends that are visiting Hanoi.
New, cozy hotel in the heart of Hanoi's Old Quarter. I was on the 7th floor with a very nice view, and seeing everything up high was easy. Breakfast on the 9th floor has a very chill outside . The sunlight is so beautiful. Yogurt is the dish that impressed me the most. Staff are very kind. Ms My does the best of all.
Great location in area of lots of hotels and restaurants in the Old Quarter. Staff were absolutely great and I know Vietnam as I worked in Hanoi previously. Facilities were good and the hotel made as much out of a small footprint as possible. Breakfast was good choice of food, including great pho.
The rooms were great and offered enough space. The bed was super comfortable aswell. The breakfast here was the best of our whole 3 weeks Vietnam trip where we stayed mostly in 5 Star Hotels. The location from the Hotel is also very good to reach the old quarter of Hanoi.
Well positioned between the Old Quarter and the French Quarter making most tourist destinations walkable, once you learn how to cross the street in Hanoi!!! Excellent value of money. We would suggest a high floor, as in any hotel in Hanoi due to traffic noise.
The hotel is super cute and the position is excellent in the center of the old quarter.
Vy, the girl who work at the reception and who followed us in our stay, is super kind, helped us a lot with organization and gave us advice to visit Hanoi in the best way.
We got a very nice room with balcony, the hotel has very good location in Hanoi old quarter. It takes a minute walking to Hoan Kiem Lake and the night market. The staffs are all very warmly welcome and friendly, they also speak English very well.
Victor Metropolis hotel & rooftop bar is one of best hotel in Hanoi old quarter. Our room was new, clean, good facilities. Hotel staffs was good and very friendly. We loved their rooftop bar & restaurant. Hotel is close to many famous place.
Victor gallery hotel & restaurant is one of best hotel in Hanoi old quarter with exceptional service, lovely- clean room, best location, nice - great restaurant with French food. Best place.
