Rome is the city of fountains and is best experienced by walking Its great the city has put in water filling facilities and charger stops so very tourist friendly- however in 40 degrees still hard to get around so plan to walk early and late and siesta in afternoon Only complaint is limited info re public toilets and most people resort to Mc Donald’s!

The best thing about Rome were the historical sites.

The best thing about Rome were the historical sites. I spent 5 days there and I barely scratched the surface. Around every street there's something to see. Some of the places I went to were the Colossuem, the Roman Forum, the Pantheon and the Spanish Steps. The restaurants were also quite delicious. Wherever I went, there was an overabundance of choice. I live in London and we have 11 underground lines but Rome only has 3. I thought it would be much harder to travel places but I found it easy. Whatever sites I visited, the train stations were only a few minutes away. The only thing I would avoid would be coming during the summer holidays. The weather was hitting 37-39 on most days

It was extremely hot, but we knew it would be.

It was extremely hot, but we knew it would be. There is cheap transport 1€ for trains. There are lots of free water fountains everywhere so you can fill up your water bottles. It did not smell of drains like some cities. You could walk to different attractions easily. A lot of people spoke some English. They were polite and welcoming. The Sistine chapel is VERY crowded and there is a lot to see in the different rooms and outdoor areas. Make a day of it. Free water fountains in the plaza. You must remember to bring ID for the Colosseum. Especially children or you cannot get in. We ticked off all our list of things we wanted to do and eat. Lovely pizza restaurants, bakeries, cafes, ice creams. There is a huge choice and they are friendly. The streets are clean, do not smell, and there are lots of free water fountains. The transport is quite easy to follow and CHEAP.

My impression of Rome was very positive—there was so much to see and far too little time to take it all in. I especially loved how the evenings cooled after the hot days, making it perfect for strolling. We stayed in Trastevere, which was full of great eating spots, charming streets, and attractions we could walk to. And yes—the gelato was amazing. If you plan to explore on foot, bring a water bottle; the city has plenty of public fountains with safe, drinkable water, so there’s no need to buy bottled water. Uber is pricey, but getting around is easy. Depending on your hotel location, you can walk to many attractions or take the bus. We used Google Maps for both walking and public transport—just enter your destination, choose the bus option, filter by your preferred mode (bus or train), and you’ll see the stop location and bus number. You can pay directly on the bus with a credit card. Be aware that many attractions are crowded, and you should be prepared to stand in line unless you make early reservations. If possible, hire a tour guide—you’ll skip some of the wait and gain valuable history and background information that truly enriches the experience. We were also impressed by how clean the city was, especially considering the large number of daily tourists. Rome left us with wonderful memories and a desire to return.

I spent my birthday weekend here (my first time in Italy) and everything was lovely! From the moment I arrived the nice lady at reception made sure to answer my questions, and even gave me recommendations on where to go in Rome (with a map). The suite itself was gorgeous and the location is beautiful. There are plenty of shops, cafes, and restaurants close to the hotel. I plan to visit Rome again next year and I will definitely consider booking here again. :)

The location was phenomenal. It was quiet, safe, and a stone throw from every main Rome attraction + the best food. We were shocked on how centrally located the property was AND how quiet it was. I traveled around Italy for 6 weeks with a friend and this was our favorite spot to stay! It is small but its all you need and very nicely decorated and new and cozy. the AC was the best and also new :)!! The hosts were so friendly and kind.

The very best breakfast i have had in Italy, over the past 7 years of travelling around Italy. The hotel is a very well kept building and has a modern feel to it. The staff are all very helpful and especially the bar tender, who also oversees the dining area - Thank you. The location is not in the center of Rome and its a short bus ride to the nearest Metro station - but the busses & Metro are frequent and easy to use.

This is an absolutely fantastic boutique hotel in Monti. It is located very conveniently in Rome and the rooms are gorgeous and a decent size for Italy. Above all however, the staff are absolutely amazing. They all went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. It felt like they were welcoming us into their home, rather than a hotel. We can’t wait to come back!
