Easy to find. Fast check in. Free Parking at the hotel. Good clean room and short lovely drive to Montepulciano. The hotel is totally managed by a lovely welcoming family. Mateo, the son, is the chef. The food is so good we had all our meals at the hotel.

History and historic wines combine in Montepulciano.
History and historic wines combine in Montepulciano. My husband and I are sommeliers, art and history lovers. This town delivers on all scores and the locals are incredibly inviting and friendly - even more than the typical Italian standard. This town constantly has cultural and musical events, some serious and others simply fun in nature. Wineries close by, and the wine bars, closer.

Montepulciano is beautiful and old and hilly and kind of mysterious. It's fun to walk around – although your legs get sore! All the old buildings and streets and alleys were super cool. It was also great being in the heart of wine country. We'd heard a lot about Italian hospitality but didn't get a whole lot of that – it was still fun to explore ourselves, thpough.

The setting was breathtaking.
The setting was breathtaking. The accommodation was picture book perfect and included free parking! The views from the bell tower, directly across the piazza, made the climb worth every step! Highly recommended but allow yourself a minimum of a two night stay!

We had the great fortune of stumbling into the start of their week-long Bravio delle Botti festivities in which the neighborhoods compete against one another to roll wine barrels up the steep streets of the historical center. We got to see fantastic performances by the drum and flagwaving groups, have fantastic dinners put on by each of the 8 neighborhoods (contrade), and enjoy some shows put on in the Piazza Grande. The town itself is steep and filled with cantinas. Gorgeous historical hill town surrounded by gorgeous rolling hills, vineyards, and olive groves. It's Tuscany at its finest. Fairly well touristed, so be cognizant of prices and a few tourist traps, but otherwise very pleasant.

Montepulciano is a small town and everything is within walking distance, but it's very hilly (up and down). There are several good dining/drinking options (Trattoria di Cagnano on via Dell'Opio Nel Corsa was great for a late dinner!) and good for shops (tourist and retail/clothing/leather). Wine tasting is a must too (great wine options by the glass at the Montepulciano fortress and Enoliteca on via Di Gracciano Nel Corso)

This is a very nice city, however not for the faint of heart. You have to be in good shape as you are walking steep up hill to get to the top of the city. The main street is downhill, so if you happen to stay in a hotel at the top of the hill, you are constantly walking up and down to get anywhere. There is some paid parking at the top, the rest of the parking is down the hill. It is a nice city to visit for the day, not worth staying overnight. There are some wine stores, I recommend Talosa,(off a side street near Piazza grande) they have a wine cellar worth looking at as it is an old tunnel built during WWII. Sales girl was very friendly and helpful
Igor and Nathalie have created a luxury guest house perfect for couples. The rooms are all unique but share dramatic views of Montepulciano as well as a beautiful valley dotted with Italian farms. A delicious full breakfast was served each morning on the sunny terrace. One night Igor prepared an Italian dinner using local organic ingredients. The food was exceptional, as was the ambiance as we dined in a renovated 2500 year old Etruscan wine vault. Stelle di Monte is the perfect base for exploring the Val d’Orcia region by car.
Very nice breakfast and exceptionally comfy bed. Beautiful views over both sides of the valley. Quiet and relaxing in every way. Great location at the top of the town and handy car parking, which is not usual in Montepulciano. Check it out with Luca before you arrive however… we were put off by the pedestrian only signs and left our car outside the walls, but hotel guests have access if you know the route. Enoteca which is part of the building was closed when we were there but looks like a great place to try the local wines.
Staff was very friendly and supportive. Offering to help carry bags from car 100 meters away, offering to carry upstairs. Staff gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants, and offered support wherever they could.
The town of Montepulciano is very beautiful with goreous views all around, and this hotel has one of the best locations and staff in the town. Hotel provided reserved parking less than 50 meters away (and on the same level, not down a big hill), which made the stay more pleasant.
A budget / basic family hotel, effectively in the centre of Montepulciano, run with passion and love. One feels like at home.
Excellent advices, assistance and attitude (personal care) from the side of the owners - one does not see this very often either in Italy, or in other countries.
Very comfortable mattresses.
Own parking.
Breakfast exceeds the standards not only of 2*, but even of many 3* hotels in Italy.
The hotel is beautiful, with a nice landscaped garden and trees with an excellent location close to the old town of Montepulciano. It is a family hotel, the staff are very attentive and the place feels warm and hospitable. Many items on the breakfast menu are home made. There is ample parking space on site and the rooms are large, clean and beautifully decorated.
By far the best place we stayed on our trip across Italy. Huge space, hosts are both very attentive and gave us some amazing reccomendations to some of the best meals we had in Italy. The room was so comfortable and having breakfast with the locals across the road was just the icing on the cake. Montepulciano is just a magical place we will be returning too.
Breakfast was excellent, the room was so comfortable (radiant heat on the floors - what a treat) and the view breathtaking.
If you are in this area, look no further - this is the place to stay.
One last word: Thank you Lucia for your hospitality. If we ever return to Italy, we will make sure to stay here in Montepulciano.
Grazie mille Lucia!
A great find in Montepulciano! What a nice family run boutique hotel. The owners were very helpful. Ivana baked every day so there were always great treats at breakfast. The rooms are very large and comfortable. Easy to get to right off the main Piazza Grande. We would stay there again when ever we are in the area.
What a fantastic place! We have been travelling in Italy for more than a month and this is definitely one of the best. The location and the view are simply the best. Communication with the host was very smooth. The place was very clean and warm. Really enjoyed it. Will definitely recommend this place to anyone!
Serene, quiet, beautiful panoramic view. Comfortable, fully equipped kitchen. Clean. Host very nice, easy to contact and quick to respond. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend. Thank you for making my stay in Italy that more enjoyable.
the breakfast was delicious, especially the cugusi cheeses. it's evident why they have won many awards for their cheese in italy! tiziana also had varying, creative egg dishes and baked goods every day which were equally delicious.
Very cute and cozy hotel with private upstairs balcony. Very convenient being on the main artery of Montepulciano. Amedeo and his wife were gracious hosts, helping us to get a bag for carrying loose items.
what a beautiful hotel, so many little perfectly executed details, it was a such a joy to see the design, architecture and the gardens. great breakfast, beautiful Montepulciano only half an hour walk away.
great stay in Montepulciano. There’s parking available down the street for hotel guests. Location is the best possible :)
