Set in Randa, Ferienwohnung Slavica Kirchplatz 2 Randa offers accommodations with a balcony and free WiFi. The property has garden views and is 22 mi from Saas-Fee. Great close enough location for hiking the Zermatt area, while staying away from the busy Zermatt town.
A 15-minute train ride from Zermatt, this chalet in Randa village offers apartments with balconies and great mountain views. We were six of us with two teenagers and two younger sisters. On the day we arrived the host let my children use their sledges. They all had so much fun on a long slope just next to the property and we enjoyed watching them through the window. We took a train every morning to Zermatt, it was just 15 mins away and the ski pass included all the facilities and trains and shuttle buses in Zermatt-great value! Randa was a small beautiful town so we felt really homely every night we came back from skiing. Last but not least, one of the most helpful parts of this property was they let us use the washing machine at a small cost. It is essential when you have many kids! All of my family thinks it was the best holiday ever and we would love to come back next year again! Thank you!
Chalet Moos offers a self-catering accommodations with a terrace and mountain views, housed in a traditional wooden chalet and located in Randa, 6.2 mi from Zermatt. The property was fully equiped and a nice and worm house with beautiful views at the mountains
A small, quiet alpine village. It is an deal base for visiting the Charles Kuonen bridge, currently the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in the world. A circular hiking route begins near the church. It's is also convenient for visiting car-free Zermatt with its beautiful views of the Matterhorn. It is much cheaper to stay here than in Zermatt and trains run frequently from the village.
Great base to make the hike to the suspension bridge. Town is very quiet so not good for those looking for shopping and other activities but a very nice place for a quiet stay. Short, twice-hourly train to Zermatt, that is fairly expensive.
A cozy village, cheaper than the near the resort of Zermatt. Much more genuine than the flashy resort of Zermatt, the village is lacking in supermarkets, restaurants and bars, but offers a calm, quiet atmosphere while still being 10 minutes away from the buzz of the big resort. The hike to visit the longest suspension bridge in the world is great - don't miss it.
The price was so reasonable and the place was lovely, we will definitely come back to Randa. Only thing we will be careful next time is to bring food and other essentials for the arrival day as there is not a superstore or restaurant in town. For the rest of the stay we got everything we needed in Zermatt on the way back from skiing.
Great location for hiking and exploring Randa. Zermatt only a short train ride away. Signs to the new suspension bridge start from the front of the hotel. Hotel restaurant did not serve lunch but breakfast and dinner are available to purchase.
Great small quiet village. Easy access to train to Zermatt. I hiked from Zermatt to Randa. Very nice hike of about 9km. I liked staying there because I was looking for more quiet out of the business of Zermatt. Easy Access the train. I bought a multi day Train pass so travel to Zermatt was easy. Trains run every 30 min
A possibility to use two new Specialized bikes was very nice bonus, in addition to warm hospitality.
