The greeting was so kind and warm right as I arrived to the White Rabbit. The young man at the front desk was so welcoming, and offered to check me into my room even though I arrived a few hours early. I enjoyed a few meals at the restaurant downstairs. They are so considerate of food allergies. The sauvigon blanc and toastie was delish. The nearby park off Southampton and Beaulieu just off the main town drag was one of the most beautiful views and horses are everywhere. I also saw cows in the distance. It's a very picturesque place. If you want to go to any neighboring towns, I highly recommend getting a car bc even though Brockenhurst and other towns are a few short miles away, it's not walkable, and Ubers don't frequent that area much. Overall, an excellent stay!!!

Beautiful grounds, hotel and destination. Very peaceful and incredible food. The staff were outstanding and were extremely helpful. The cucumber water upon arrival was definitely refreshing after a long drive. The fried breakfast was amazing! Perfectly cooked and delicious. We enjoyed a morning swim in the pool which had a very Spanish/Greek feel to the surrounding area. The pool was at a perfect temperature and the chairs were handy for getting our son ready. I would definitely recommend it. Beautiful architecture for any age to appreciate, very family friendly and also very romantic for couples.

We cannot recommend Lyndhurst House enough!

We cannot recommend Lyndhurst House enough! It is such a beautiful house with charming and unique rooms. It felt very homely, and our hosts, Alison and Nick, were incredibly kind and helpful, recommending great places to eat and even suggesting a route for one of our days. The breakfast was delicious and very filling - definitely worth it! We enjoyed freshly cooked dishes, as well as fresh fruit, yoghurt, and the usual coffee and tea. We stayed on the upper floor and had the best night’s sleep, as it was very quiet there. Everything was spotless. A wonderful stay and a real gem - we will definitely be back!

Lovely little town with great antique shops, quirky cafes and great pubs. Worth a visit as very central to the New Forest. Traffic goes directly through so a nightmare crossing roads etc. Seemed quite dangerous as always busy. Also traffic noise. Didn't put us off though!!

Lyndhurst is well known for traffic problems, if you can accept this it has a wide range of cafes and restaurants and is a good base for exploring the New Forest. with good access to bus and train services if you don't want to drive.

Lovely pubs and excellent cafes for breakfast.

Lovely pubs and excellent cafes for breakfast. The road running through the village is exceptionally busy at times, with cars and some lorries as it is an A road. Small pavements and difficult to navigate when busy. The forest is over the road and easily accessible. This area might be too busy for those wanting peace and quiet. It’s a good base to explore from though. A very friendly place, lovely locals.

Nice to see so many independent stores and eateries. Great choices, we ate at Waterloo Arms, good food and good value. Good location to explore New Forest or departure from Southampton for a cruise. Surprised to see a large Ferrari dealership there. Nice to look at!

Where we stayed was a short walk from the town and so we went at least for a couple of walks a day morning afternoon evening there was always plenty to see and do and it was a nice way to get some exercise. And also being in Lyndhurst we were only a short way from the actual forest with the horses and beautiful scenery. Also if you carried on going out of Lyndhurst you can go into Brockenhurst and go to Lymington which we did and walk all around the harbour have a snack or lunch ect there and walk the whole really nice town You could purchase food n drinks ect which we did

Lovely staff, Debbie showed us to our room on arrival and made sure we had everything we needed, Katie was very friendly and helpful if we needed anything. LOVED how housekeeping DIDN'T unnecessarily change our towels. All too often hotels have the "consider the environment..." notice but STILL change neatly folded towels. Well done White Rabbit. The location, within easy walking distance of Lyndhurst's fabulous food outlets, also has great parking for our classic cars.

The staff at The Stag Hotel were fantastic. I have complicated dietary needs, they bent over backwards to accommodate me. The staff are friendly, helpful and kind. My room was very spacious, decorated tastefully, comfortable and spotlessly clean. I enjoyed my stay hugely and although I couldn't eat very much from the menu, it was a lovely menu and the food coming from the kitchen looked amazing. I thoroughly recommend the Stag.

The hotel is on the main road into Lyndhurst. Easily accessible and good parking. The room was on the front but was quiet. The room was small but enough for my needs. Was clean and tidy and well presented. (needs some new toggles on the light pulls....). The staff were very polite and chatty. Breakfast was tasty and just enough to kick off the day.
