This hotel was great! Mark greeted us at the door, was super welcoming, friendly and helpful after a very negative, stressful experience with another property which we chose to not stay in so this was a very last minute booking. Regardless of this being last minute, check in was super easy and quick and everything was sorted out for us bearing in mind we had literally booked the room about 5 minutes before arrival! The room was super comfortable, spacious and the building had loads of character which was lovely. We felt very safe and welcome. It also had great facilities, everything you needed and my partner didnt stop raving about the comfortable bed! Super happy, would definitely stay again. Thank you very much to Mark and the team for a great stay!

The location excellent , the facilities were good although the Ballyhoo restaurant / shop could have been better. Seemed like new staff and service was just ok. Surprised closed so early on Sundays. Play park was good although the outside tables and chairs need a lot of repair.

    The house was amazing!

The house was amazing! It was very clean and the bedrooms very comfortable and well equipped. There was everything you needed in the kitchen, plenty of plates, cups etc. Very comfortable living area, and we used the log burner which was great. The house had been beautifully decorated for Christmas which was perfect. The view from the lounge window was so calm and relaxing, just looking over the lake. There was nothing not to like. We would definitely recommend this house and intend to book again.

Trip was too long as property was not as advertised it was unclean. We had to request cleaners to remove thick grease from oven. We cleaned outside furniture and had to wash cushion covers as not usable. Outdoor table top broken off. BBQ rusty, broken and not fit for use. Soft furnishings were smelly. Had to replace light bulbs in lamps. We have submitted photo evidence to booking.com.

Foxtrot Cottage was in a perfect position in the development … near to the restaurant where we could get our cappuccinos etc in the morning and near to all the pools and activities. Well equipped with lovely bathrooms . Ideal for three generations including a 12 year old and 14 year old. Wendy is an excellent communicator and replied instantly to all my questions beforehand and after we’d checked in. She recommended the Waterside Inn to eat - literally a 5 minute drive away - we had a coeliac, vegetarian and fussy eater- we all thoroughly enjoyed it and not silly prices! Cotswold Sculpture Park is less than a mile away- worth visiting . All in all a lovely 3 nights .. Personally I wouldn’t go on a Bank Holiday again if I could go another time as the spa and pools were heaving but if you’ve small children you probably wouldn’t mind !

Fine if you’re looking for that sort of thing.

Fine if you’re looking for that sort of thing. The lakes are lovely and if you want water sports it’s great I’m sure. It’s a bit resorts and quite built up. You are definitely not in splendid isolation. I had hoped to see more birds on the lake. We went to the Potting Shed pub which was extremely good and very nice staff
