it was a rustic and authentic old railway pub/hotel, situated in a beautiful rural area of Gloucestershire. My room was small, which is pretty standard in the UK, but outside of sleeping, I didn’t spend much time in the room. My room comfortable and clean, with a nice view. Staff and locals were great and the owners wonderful and genuine. All were friendly, helpful and very accommodating. Steven and I chatted everyday and was a wealth of knowledge about the area while Wendy cooked a great full English breakfast at a reasonable price. I’d go back in a second.

Sara was an amazing host and was even nice enough to give me a ride to a local restaurant after a long days hike - of all the places I’ve stayed along the Cotswold way I think Greencourt was probably the most comfortable and best rest I got the whole way - also she had some great baked goods upon check in and breakfast provided for in the fridge.

The hotel is beautifully designed with an elegant aesthetic combining soft earthy colors, high end textiles (curtains, upholstery, linens) with modern lighting in a historic building. The breakfast was very generous including all sorts of yogurts, fruit, muesli and granola as well as a full hot breakfast. I had poached eggs on avocado toast which was delicious.

Over all a really nice place to stay.

Over all a really nice place to stay. Fresh food cooked with every order (breakfast lunch and dinner) Some staff were really friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Some staff seem miserable and it seemed like it was an effort when asking them a question. That didn’t make the experience a rubbish one. We really enjoyed our 2 nights here and will be looking to stay again in the future.

Old and tired. In the bedroom were Rotten windows, peeling paint, stained walls and ceilings and grimey shower tray. Could mot fill kettle as would not fit under the tap. No central heating and noisy trains to wake you at 6am. Bed was clean.

The accommodation was very comfortable and our host who was happy to guide us for things to do and was very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and it was situated in a good location for visiting a variety of attractions. It was ideal for walking and the scenery was lovely There were so many good places to eat in the local area so we were spoilt for choice. Well worth a visit !

Lovely area in Cotswolds.

Lovely area in Cotswolds. Easy to visit Stroud for our concert and following day for Farmers Market - 5 miles. Good area for walking. Visited Woodchester Mansion. Just be aware although supposedly National Trust only the grounds and £1 off for members after long walk downhill! The Frocester is a good lively pub with excellent food, very popular.

Stayed for one night for work to visit one of the new industrial units next to the M5. This hotel was less than 10 minutes away so perfect for what I needed. 2 of my colleagues had stayed here a few weeks before and recommended the place. The hotel itself was in a quiet village in a pretty setting. This was ideal to sit in the beer garden enjoying the sunshine in peace. I had dinner in the bar which was very good quality. the 2 gents working that evening were very friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough to help. The room was of a good size, with a large comfortable bed. The en-suite bathroom was also a good size. I would definitely stay again next time I'm in the area. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.

Location was really good. We travelled over as a family with the dog. Two of us went to the football stadium for an away game and my wife stayed at the loft and took the dog for a walk. There are walking spots straight out the back so no need to drive anywhere. The beds were super comfortable, we all slept really well (best bed I have slept in at a hotel/B&B) and felt as though you were staying at home which we really liked. Sara was very good and set up the room really nicely.

It's always nice to receive a warm welcome and the staff made sure they welcomed us with a smile. Steeped in history, the hotel itself is full of personality. You can see traces of centuries gone by with the classic windows and timber frames. There's a fantastic choice on the breakfast menu which was sublime while lunch and dinner are also fantastic.

The temporary staff who had been drafted in 2 days before to sort out this nightmare place were very kindly. They didn't know the hotel or building and the whole situation was a bit like Fawlty Towers but not their fault.
