Hotel in Stonehouse
This 17th-century Manor House is in stunning grounds overlooking Stroud Water Canal and the hills of the Stroud Valley. It has an award-winning restaurant, and routes for cycling and walking. The location, the staff, and cleanliness, a real great experience, wish we could have stayed longer. We arrived later than expected and Jovita was very helpful and caring, thank you so much!
Hotel in Stonehouse
The Beacon & Railway Hotel is set in the village of Haresfield, in the heart of the Cotswolds. This 19th-century country inn features its own restaurant and cozy bar. The family room is two connected rooms with a shared bathroom. It suited our needs perfectly! The rooms and bathroom were very spacious, comfortable and clean. The shower, in particular, was much bigger than showers we've had in other hotels. No AC, but great fans. Again, it suited our preferences. Close to the train tracks. However, the train does not run overnight and the windows, when closed properly, shut out all noise. One member of the group is vegan. Although nothing on the menu was explicitly marked as vegan, the kitchen whipped up an excellent dinner!

Located in Stonehouse, The Frocester has free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a terrace, a restaurant and a bar. Some units also have a kitchen equipped with a fridge, an oven, and a dishwasher. The friendly staff made you feel like at home. Cleanliness is very important. Towels were changed every day for a month..They clean the room and garbage daily. It is great that they offer fresh milk, tea, coffee, biscuits and water every day. Since I stayed for a month for a long time, a laundry service was required. Our laundry came with a wonderful smell and ironed. They did not charge for the fee.Thank you in particular Rachel Sandell. He helped us in everything.

This is a good location and basically a nice place but it is tired, needs a good clean up and better trained staff. Breakfast in the room was expensive for what it was. There was no fridge to keep anything cold either. The rooms need a bit of maintenance. I think not really acceptable not to have functioning heating in the room and a shower that works well without cutting out or turning cold. If you have guests staying I also think you should have someone in the building. It was a bit lax I would say for the amount charged.
A lovely old pub in beautiful countryside. Near to lots of small towns with plenty to do and see. Large spacious double bedroom with King sized bed, ensuite linen and towels provided. Tea and coffee facilities and a wonderful continental breakfast provided. Heaters were supplied in the room and we ate a delicious evening meal n the pub. Friendly and helpful staff. A fantastic stay. Would recommend.
I did not see much of Stonehouse we sayed one night for a journy break. The traffic was noisy but at peak times only. We had a perfectly good meal at a friendly locals pub in easy walking distance from the Kings Head House.
We broke our journey to Devon from Preston for one night. My comment re the railway is not a complaint, and there's a clear clue in the name of the hotel! It's very handy from M5 (5 to 10 minutes). We'd certainly stay there again. Stonehouse is a small residential village in the countryside; not really a holiday place, but a good jumping off point for walking in the open countryside.
Friendly and helpful staff. Our room at the top had a rather low ceiling ( mind your heads ! ) and the bath was not practical as there was no shower unit to wash your hair. It meant you had to be very supple to rinse your haair. Otherwise good breakfast and a nice welcome.
Very poor hotel cobwebs flies mould round bath panel and windows breakfast never arrived which they promised it would had to return my evening meal twice in the end I gave up and never had an evening meal Stains on carpet Room really smelt musty Would not recommend this hotel
Stonehouse
Location was really good. We travelled over as a family with the dog. Two of us went to the football stadium for an away game and my wife stayed at the loft and took the dog for a walk. There are walking spots straight out the back so no need to drive anywhere. The beds were super comfortable, we all slept really well (best bed I have slept in at a hotel/B&B) and felt as though you were staying at home which we really liked. Sara was very good and set up the room really nicely.

The pub and hotel were just brilliant. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. The food was delicious and good value. The room was spacious, clean and tidy and came with a coffee machine and nice toiletries. The bed was also very comfy. We were unable to stay for breakfast because we had an early start so the kitchen provided us with a plate of breakfast items to have, which was so helpful. Would stay again and will definitely return for another meal.

Very cute little hotel, were very flexible about us arriving later in the evening and still keeping the restaurant open for us. Bed was very comfy, area was quiet for sleeping!
Comfy bed, good size room in a lovely location - very sweet countryside location. Friendly staff in the hotel.
