Property was exceptional, staff were all extremely polite from the get go and were willing to help with any problem, from finding buttons on the Hot Tub to cutting a pesky tag from my suit when no scissors could be found. I was extremely impressed throughout. Room was lovely and spacious with an exceptional range of complimentary beverages and snacks available. Spa facilities were luxurious as well with the most amazing view and breakfast was also a delight!

I will lead with I'm an American woman, traveling ALONE for the first time ever. After a terrible and stressful time with flights I was so happy to reach my stay with The Talbot. I stayed in room 25 in the back corner with a lovely veiw of the cathedral steeple (easy to find my way in a new city). As an American, and a Floridian we are used to some comforts such as air conditioning and small refridgerators and/or microwaves in hotels. This you will not find here. HOWEVER, what you will find is a quaint, relaxing, charming, and friendly expeirence. The smell of breakfast, lunch, and tea are always pleasing and amazing to wake up to with a convienent pub downstairs. The food is nothing short of delicious so my best compliments to the kitchen staff. Budget appropiately and you'll never go hungry. Not in the mood for fine food? not a problem you are a short walk from American favroite Five Guys, a local refreshing scene Ottos, pizzia, chinies, and sushi. That said the wait and bar staff are nothing short of perfection in quick, easy, and friendly service. I never met a face that made me feel uncomfortable or nervous. The housekeeping staff are quick, friendly, and very accomodating they respect the do-not-disturb (I am one that doesn't like people in my room while I stay if I can help it) but again no issues. Management staff here are friendly, and oh so amazing! Laura allowed us use of the conference room for a Dungeons and Dragons game (I run is usually virtually but finally able to meet my players in their country!) she was friendly and delighted to have a creative use of the space. Calem was a saint! He was always greeting with a smile and ready to help me with any request or question I had, never once treated like an inconvience. This man is everywhere and a friendly face I often looked for if I had a need of anything.

A trip on the river is a nice way to see the city.

A trip on the river is a nice way to see the city. Worcester is well-provided with a good range of real ale pubs, which was our main reason for visiting. A good centre for visiting other historic towns nearby, too.

The Cathedral was lovely . Can walk along the river but there is not much to experience, no bars or cafes close to the river which is a shame. Lots of shops to explore but you can fit most things in with a short stay of 2 days max.

The guided tour of the city was great fun.

The guided tour of the city was great fun. Our guide Annie was very relaxed and informative. We also did a guided tour of the Cathedral which was very interesting with another knowledgeable guide. We saw so many other things we'd like to visit too including the museum and the Guildhall. Annie pointed out the bookshop and cafe at St Richards Hospice on St Swithins St where we stopped for lunch. It has a good sized cafe surrounded by books - perfect for bibliophiles. They also do a very good Tuna Salad which was perfect on a hot day. In the evening we ate at The Pear Tree - a lovely restaurant and a delicious meal. On the Sunday we had a superb roast dinner at a very friendly pub - The Maple Leaf.

The cricket ground is very picturesque, a special venue for seeing a match. The racecourse is virtually in the city so it's very easy to get to. It's not the biggest or fanciest racecourse around but the staff were great and the set-up was good. The city has a number of places of interest. The cathedral is a must, and don't forget to see the crypt, The best approach is by walking the length of New St from the King Charles House pub, continuing straight on along Friar St. There are many very old buildings in these two streets.

I liked the walk by the river near the cathedral and seeing all the connections with Elgar (I am a musician). The town centre is pleasant and I felt safe walking there alone. It was a 20 min walk and lovely on a warm summer evening. I ate at Zizis and it was good. I liked the fact that I could leave my car off road at the house and walk around without the bother of a car

Great location being so close to Worcester Foregate Street rail station. Very friendly staff welcome on arrival answering all of my queries. Nice clean room with plenty of towels. Ample tea/coffee making facilities and a TV that worked. Wi-fi easy to access. If you like a grand staircase for making an entrance, this hotel has certainly got one.
