Beautiful location. With the authentic town right below the castle. When we booked this place, there were not many reviews so we were unsure about it. However, we wanted to give it a try and we were absolutely happy that we did. Staff was very nice and accommodating, and they let us to check in late after their regular check in hours. We were able to get free upgrade so the group of three. We had two rooms together with nice walk out door to the patio with amazing views. We didn’t want to leave. Definitely planning to come back again and will recommend to everyone.

The location is convenient, just off the Via Francigena and close to shopping and restaurants. A nice cake was waiting for us. The host told us where we could get a Via Francigena stamp. The kitchen is good for cooking a very simple meal. Comfortable bed.

An Absolutely stunning and intimate dream of a place with farm hills and cows, songbirds and mountains all around us and a volcano in the distance 🥰 Wonderful Owners ❤️ and staff, and a winery too where they produce their own and offer delicious wine pairing dinners and a special Florentine Steak dinner, besides their fresh and bountiful breakfasts, offered inside , or outside under the warm sun and soft breezes. A pristine pool with water fall and colourful flowers with many terraces and areas to enjoy the view only add to the true beauty and peace of this tranquil, Tuscan, dream location .

A true gem in a beautiful location. We were looking for a quiet farmhouse to stay for our visit in south Tuscany, and it exceeded our expectations to become the best stay we had in Italy. Roberto was a great host, kind and helpful. The facilities are tidy, the room was clean and well organized with a full equipped kitchen with everything that you need to prepare yourself a decent meal. We were amazed by how the Roberto thought of everything, from wood for the fireplace waiting for you outside the door to salt and pepper in the kitchen. Compared to other country side farmhouses we stayed in, Poggio Al Vento was by far the best. Highly recommended!

    The BnB was well located just inside the city walls, perched on the edge presenting wonderful views of the hilly countryside. It was small — 3 rooms - and comfortable with a delightful if small garden. We enjoyed an evening ritual wine sipping at a garden table that overlooked that view. Our host Sylvia was warm and friendly.

    The agriturismo is in a beautiful valley, a close drive to several charming Tuscan towns which we enjoyed visiting. Andrea and his father are very friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. The pool is beautiful and very well maintained. We enjoyed using the barbeque as well. Overall the hotel is very clean, in very good condition. We also enjoyed renting mountain bikes one day from the hotel and discovering the local hills. The breakfast was very nice and the local cold meats were delicious.

    This place is incredible. Located in the middle of the Val'd'Orcia with magnificent scenery all around. The hotel/restaurant is located in the center of a medieval village that sits atop a hill with a medieval castle standing guard . The rooms of the hotel were very comfortable, clean and spacious. You are treated like royalty by the owner and her staff. And the restaurant, some of the best food in Tuscany with wonderful ambiance. Our entire stay was like living in a history book.

    Best place I stayed in all of Italy. Location is phenomenal, right in heart of most beautiful region in Tuscany (Val D'Orcia), view overlooking a valley. Despite being on a farm, the room and living area and bathroom was much nicer than the average of all the other hotels we saw in the cities. The dinner is lovely too. The owners are super friendly and helpful.

    We stayed in Italy for 5 weeks with a road trip. We stayed in a different hotel almost each night. This was our most memorable stay as we had a room that gave us an open window on the castle & the Tuscan hills. The sunset was out of this world. Good breakfast also.
