I would not recommend Porto to anyone with mobility issues, as wherever you go in the city there are steep hills. The Rebeira district (basically the old town by the river) is nice, with cafes, bars and restaurants. The south side of the river there are the warehouses of the port companies. There is also a food court on that side of the river. Good views from the top level of the Dom Luis I bridge. I had some really nice red wine in a restaurant. Port is an old city, on a busy river. It’s a tale of two locations; a busling city on the river with an out of town beach front. It is a wonderful city.
It is a wonderful city. Though there where some temporary constraints caused by the construction of a new metro line, but it was still easy and safe to move around the city.
