It has rightly got a reputation for foodies, there were plenty of options and markets most days selling all kinds of produce. It's quite hilly in places so need to take that into account. Good transport links to Shrewsbury, Hereford and beyond. Lovely small town friendly feel to all the areas we visited.

The town was beautifully clean, quite busy as there was a market on when we visited, plenty of places to eat . It also has the added bonus of the castle, which is worth a look around.
Surrounded by wonderful countryside and many walks to enjoy.

Lovely town with gorgeous walks along the river.
Lovely town with gorgeous walks along the river. Plenty of cafes and a lovely market to wander. Castle was lovely although I feel a £9 entrance fee is steep for what it offers. The beautiful church in town was the highlight of places visited with its stained glass and beautiful monuments, plus a lovely cafe too.
Bar & Restaurant at the Charlton Arms Inn are highly recommended with great staff, wine, food and ambiance.
The snow capped hills and rapid rivers give this gorgeous town an amazing backdrop and constant relaxing sound of the fast running river, just perfect.
We can’t wait to visit again in the summer.

This was our first visit to Ludlow and we really enjoyed it.
This was our first visit to Ludlow and we really enjoyed it. We only stayed three nights and could have happily spent few more there to take in the countryside and walks etc as it was we enjoyed the town. A visit to the |Castle is well worth it as is a visit to St Laurence Church. We did the tower there too which was worth the £5 cost. Amazing views from the top and to see the bell ringing room and clock mechanism were great. 200 steps approximately so not for the very unfit or those with a health condition. The town itself is a great mixture of more modern and ancient architecture and it is very pretty and interesting. There are many and varied independent retailers in town as well as many antique shops to browse in and to buy local produce. The Ludlow Brewery deserves a special mention for its ethos, on site brewing, its brewery tours and the warm, friendly atmosphere. Also visit for live events. We enjoyed a great night there at the Root and Blues, resident Blue Moon band and guests Rhythm Machine. What an excellent night with great atmosphere, together with brewed on the premises, good price beers. There is so many places to choose to wine and dine too.

Ludlow is a wonderful market town with lovely walks and steeped in history. There are many pubs, most of them do food and there are lots of little eateries so you are spoilt for choice. The market has a variety of different things from liquorice to hats. The pubs are excellent and very friendly with most allowing dogs in the bar areas.
A warm welcome set the tone for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. we had booked 2 of the larger rooms (Plymouth and Windsor) and loved everything - the bath salts for the bath; the beautiful curtains (good black out), the selection of tea and the tea-pot; lovely and slightly unusual soaps and shampoo etc. Beautifully furnished to a high standard and all very
comfortable. The Ludlow Food Centre is brilliant for food lovers with lots of local produce. we had a wonderful dinner at the Hotel and hope to return.
Dinham Hall Hotel was in an excellent location for exploring the sights of Ludlow, located directly apposite the castle, a few minutes walk down to the river, 2 minutes walk to market and 5 minutes walk to shopping centre, pubs, restaurants. Free car parking onsite, very friendly staff and breakfast was delicious with range of cold and hot options. Room was small but it was clean and had all the essential with good working shower and bath. I will definitely stop again when I go back to Ludlow.
The flat was perfectly positioned in the market square outside the castle gates.Although it was central to everything it was very peaceful inside the flat. Our host Amanda was very welcoming and helpful. We parked our car at her other property ,which was only a five minute walk away from the flat.
Ludlow is a very lovely town with lots of walks around the area .The town has some really nice pubs and restaurants . The locals were really friendly.
We would really recommend a visit here.
We stayed 4 nights in a riverside suite. Lots of space laid out as a living room, bedroom and large well equipped bathroom. All clean and modern. Private terrace looking out over river and towards Ludlow. Excellent location for walking into Ludlow which has a collection of great restaurants and other food options like delis and the daily market. Hotel has its own dining - very good, must book. Breakfast simple but good. We had a great time and were sad when it was time to leave.
Everything. The location couldn't have been better. Our room was full of character, yet it was beautifully decorated and appointed with great extras such as a good quality coffee maker and Temple Spa cleaning products. Very comfortable and spacious enough for our needs. The staff were so helpful and pleasant, very smiley. Windows, fans, electric plugs - everything was spot on. If we come back to Ludlow this is where we'd like to stay.
The Cliffe describes itself as 'restaurant with rooms' rather than a hotel and that is exactly what it is - there are no other facilities. The restaurant meal we had was excellent as was the breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable but quite small. The area is very quiet and the hotel is located a 10 minute walk from Ludlow centre with its castle and lovely architecture.
Location amazing as I travel to Ludlow weekly and stay over. I've stayed in many places, Hotels and Apartments in Ludlow, and The Nest is one that I have been back to on a number of occasions.......whens its not booked! Its means that I have all the local facilities on the doorstep, and is in easy reach for my office. The chocolate is a nice touch by the way!
We had a junior suite. It was very spacious and fitted out to a high standard. Nice touch having mini fridge with complimentary treats and soft drinks.
Located in Ludlow close to shops, restaurants and castle.
Staff were very pleasant and communal areas were also maintained to a high standard.
The breakfast was lovely and well presented. Good quality produce.
The room was comfortable and well thought out if a resident had a disability and needed disabled access facilities.
The hotel is well situated for access into the centre of Ludlow
The receptionist was very helpful and welcoming
Amazing stay with lovely views. Well looked after by round host Ray. Property not far from town Centre and close to train station and Ludlow brewery. Fantastic breakfast! We had an extra living room next to our bedroom which was just for us. Nice to have the space and relax looking at the view.
We love Ludlow and have stayed at the Cliffe on many occasions. We usually dine in the hotel but had another engagement in the town this time. The staff are always v helpful and friendly. I never consider staying anywhere else.
Everyone at the hotel went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. There were extra little touches in the bedroom which we appreciated, lovely large shower and bathroom. A great two night stay. We would stay here again.
This hotel is in a fabulous location for seeing Ludlow. The staff were very friendly. The room was well appointed and spotlessly clean. There was a good choice at breakfast. I can recommend the Church Inn.
The perfect hotel to discover Ludlow from. Charming and spacious room in a renovated Tudor-style building. Clean and quiet. No staff on site, but the offsite manager and cleaners were all wonderful.
Really nice property, very clean and welcoming, everything you need and more! Easy walk from the train station, in the heart of Lovely Ludlow!
Love living in the pub 👍🏻😃
