The atmosphere of this place is really cool, lively bar and love the quirky features in the rooms. Staff were very friendly, welcoming and breakfast in the morning was delicious and very good quality, loved that you could choose how you wanted your eggs. Despite the lively atmosphere downstairs in the evening, my room was peaceful and couldn't hear downstairs at all. Check in and check out were both easy and appreciated that the invoice for my trip was emailed to me straight away saving me from chasing up afterwards. My room had a beautiful bathroom with lovely bathtub and shower. Bed was huge and mattress very comfy but the pillows were quite hard.

A step back in time!
A step back in time! Small historic town, traditional butcher, baker and greengrocer, independent shops. Very friendly helpful locals. I can recommend The New Inn for great evening meals at reasonable prices. Be prepared to travel some very narrow windy lanes in this area though!

We did not see anything of Beaminster. It was only a one night stop over. The town looked pretty and there are things to see and do in the neighborhood. Will visit again and would stay at the Ollerod again. Had an excellent dinner at the Ollerod.Maj-BrittUnited Kingdom

Minutes from Beaminster centre and a couple of pubs, restaurants and a co-op. Good size double bed in main bedroom was very comfortable. Bathroom was good size with an excellent shower. Kitchen had everything you could need to cook and there was an iron which came in handy. Very pretty garden out patio door from comfy lounge/diner. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Food (both dinner and breakfast) was excellent and varied. The facilities are simple enough but good. Very nice bar, restaurant and walled garden areas. The hotel's location is quite off the beaten track but Beaminster is a great starting-point from which to explore all areas of Dorset, as well as being an attractive place in itself with many local walks and attractions.
