Location was peaceful and convenient at the charming area of Kensal Green. Especially nice when travelling with kids. The house was old and traditionally English - not a sterile and dull hotel room - which was exciting for us.

The property is beautiful with an eclectic interior. The bed was extremely comfortable and much better than a fancy hotel we stayed in recently.

It is so quirky, welcoming, oldly worldy and like staying in wonderland!

Company info

We are an artist and designer family and collect antiques and restore them. We love interior design and art and our house is full of quirky and interesting things to explore. Our private room can host up to 4 people. It has one beautiful large luxury four-poster double bed and 2 luxury single beds. Our recently-redecorated room is decorated with antique furniture and original prints. We frequently update our interiors as this is our great passion but the essence is the same - we love to collect and restore antiques and interesting objects so every stay is a unique one. We are inspired by the golden age of travel. We are happy to welcome couples, families with children, art and design lovers and individuals who love travel and want to explore London. We are happy to help! We think we are great value for money compared to a hostel - here you get a private room for the same or even cheaper price than a shared room in a hostel. However we are not a hotel and unable to offer the services provided by hotels. This is an old Victorian London house. We have a lot of antiques, not modern and Ikea. Please make sure you are happy with and clear about the location before you book. Please read the descriptions first. If you do not like the sound of this and the above rules then perhaps it is better to choose alternative accommodation that might be a better fit.

Neighborhood info

Our neighbourhood is quiet and residential with great restaurants and cafes nearby as well as shops all within 5-10 mins' walking distance. There is fast access to central London without the noise in central London. Our nearest underground station is 7-10 mins walk away. We have timed it. Please bear in mind that your first journey may be longer if you have just arrived and do not know the way, and if you have to carry large and heavy suitcases. When you have settled in and know the way it is much quicker to walk there. London is huge. It has 9 zones. Central London is Zone 1, the tourist zone. We are in Zone 2. It is a residential zone, and although there are a few local shops, cafes and restaurants, it is not a tourist zone. Zones 1 and 2 are in fact counted together for London transport purposes so you don’t pay extra to travel to central London from us, you pay the same as if you were only in Zone 1. Central London can be easily REACHED from us, but we are not located in central London. If you would like to stay directly in central London please book there. Please look carefully on the map before you book. All cities are different, and in London relative terms, we are located near, not far, from central London. For sightseeing: All the major sightseeing stations are all on our same underground line (the Bakerloo line) so sightseeing is super easy and convenient. All the major sights are usefully covered - please see Property description for info about how to access London's major tourist sites. For shopping, Christmas shopping and the January and summer sales: - 19 minutes: Selfridges, Liberty, John Lewis, House of Fraser, Debenhams, Hamley's toy store (all within walking distance of one another) - 25 minutes to Knightsbridge: Harrods - 10 minutes to Westfield (only 1 stop on the train!) - Europe's biggest shopping centre
