In England there's a tradition about museums as Alsace of culture, there are lots of activities devoted to kids. Museums are must see , they are huge and i recommend just having 2,3 days for visiting them. For example , Natural History Museum is huge and it is divided in 4 sections. One section took me around 1,2 hours to cover (with reading the provided info and watching the presentations)
Excellent museums and art galleries with very well executed displays and events , for instance the natural history museum has lots of interactive exhibits
Exhibition of mammoths at the Natural History Museum and the Wedding Dresses at the V&A.
I have seen a dinosaurus at Natural History Museum and Andy Warholl at Modern Tate Galery, and 10-15 excellent pubs (Guiness beer)
National Gallery has nice cafe and afternoon tea at a reasonable price. Sundays at the Natural History Museum are mobbed with people with their children. Do not go on that day if you don't like crowds.
